Did you negotiate to $4k off msrp or was it listed as $4k off already?

A few thousand more below msrp now. This dealer is out in eastern Oregon. Ranchers and cowboys probably aren't wanting a capstone (or a Tundra in general to be honest).

I have a good dealer here in northern il

I have a platinum tundra coming and a 25th anniversary sienna coming , both no mark up. They are also going to color match the stash and fender flares for a fair price and they changed my allocation for the van to take off the tow hitch and alloy wheel locks

they are also trying to take off the bed liner spray for me on the tundra and waiting to see if that is accepted as well

Haven't found a dealer around me that will get close to msrp on a solar octane TRD Pro. The minimum is a $5k "protection package."

Got ya. Yeah, I've heard that area is brutal. Good luck my friend. I've got a wait list of roughly 10 people right now for PRO's but we sell all at MSRP. I don't think I can help much being in Pittsburgh, PA area. lol

No worries! I have one broker looking around the country, but if I can find one myself, I'll save that finders fee.

Yup, all up and down the I-5 corridor the dealerships have no trouble finding people that'll pay markups.
Supposedly Seattle Toyota is MSRP, however they have a pretty long wait list.

I don't mind a road trip, but a Pro is gonna be hard to find anywhere!

Toyota of Tri-Cities (3 1/2ish hrs from you) is selling Pros at MSRP. I was third on the waitlist (first for certain colors not requested by the others in front of me) back in October before I went with a Limited from another dealer.

Dealers are telling me there could be up to $5000 off by the end of the year on new Tundra’s. Is anyone else getting this info from dealers?

maybe , maybe not. You never know what’s going to happen. Also if your not a full cash buyer interest rates are going to go up even more

Toyota never really had big discounts like the others did also, so if you have an opportunity to get what you want go for it.

These discounts are outside of interest rates. Before all the chip, COVID, and dumping trillions of dollars into the economy. I could find new Tundra’s and Sequoia’s for $8-9k off sticker.
I’m just saying if you don’t need a new truck right away. Wait another year and the prices will come down and Toyota should have most of the issues worked out with the Tundra.

I get it, and good advice

I’ve never seen that much off a tundra around here ever so maybe it’s different

I pulled the trigger and waiting for it to be built , good write off for the busniess and my dealer doesn’t add anything on .

plus I’m just ready for a new truck, ha!

In researching the price of a 2023 TRD Pro Tundra in the Birmingham/Huntsville area in Alabama I found the following:

At Bill Penney Toyota in Jasper (formerly Scott Crump Toyota) the Dealer Markup was 6,000 (Sales manager said he could make that markup whatever he wanted it to be)

At Serra Toyota in Birmingham the markup was 5,000 and the salesmen said if I went with someone not charging a markup I would have to wait longer for the vehicle.

At Limbaugh Toyota in Birmingham the markup was approximately 3,500.

At Hoover Toyota in Birmingham they do not charge a markup and also do not add on the extra dealer packages that sometime run from 1500 to 2000.

Quoting myself. 4th time going into the office in 3 years. Coworker told me he got $3,600 off a limited crew max this past weekend. I knew exactly what one it was...haha It really was $3,600 off msrp with no dealer BS.

After getting quotes for trd sport package sr5 that were 5k markups (looking at you bev smith Toyota) I got an sr5 without the sport package and a bunch of options I wanted for msrp from Valdosta Toyota. They treated me right.

edit 17-apr-23 : 2018 was sold to a person in williston, nd previous week (10-14 april)

ya, a deal like that is super rare.

my dealer is similar in that they dont do any add ons or over msrp, they only sell local as well, but they were not willing to go under MSRP yet. I kinda don't blame them as everyone else is still over MSRP around here which is a large market.

they are working with my to color match parts, swap tires, etc though so Im fine with the deal I got.

they did honor the quote from back in nov-2022 even though it took 4 months to get here. i was happy they still gave me my trade in quote from back then since todays trade in value is 3k less.

Great post. Who is your dealer? So others might be able to get a deal like that.
