I asked the dealer to have the tech remove it during the oil change. They did without any issue. I’ve gotta say, it really sounds waaaay better without it

As for today, dropped her off at the body shop to have that ding in the roof fixed. It’s sad what’s about to be done to her, but at least it’s a certified Toyota collision center and the company that caused the damage is paying…..

Do you have part numbers for the black matt door handles? And, did they come with the access system? I have that on my limited and I need to make sure the door handles will have that too.

I bought them from Sparks Toyota and they sell whatever flavor you'd like. Click the link and then select the color you want. Comes in a set of four, and the sensors are included (built-in) with the front handles.

Us northerners that use fluid film (or similar product, I prefer surface Shield) and apply it annually. Put it on in the fall and don't do car washes with an undercarriage cleaning

I’ll never forget as consultant I was in Atlanta when it snowed a half inch and it shut down the city and people were abandoning their cars on the highway.

Just little stuff... dog seat cover and short leash that plugs into the seatbelt socket. And the BedRug mat. Before several of you guys say get a rubber mat realize that this is to make my bed work more like a big trunk than to haul heavy junk. It is ideal for that... and will take occasional abuse when necessary. One thing that I thought was interesting is that they provided Velcro strips with adhesive to attach this to the bed. Totally unnecessary when you have a Tonneau cover. And, personally, I would never use this type of cover in an open bed. That's what those rubber ones are for. The first BedRug photo was it taking a nap in the living room to straighten out after arriving rolled up.

Which one did you get? I have the OEM Toyota folder and it seems pretty solid. But I don't believe that it can be locked down in an intermediate position like the old Pace Edwards retract on my Tacoma, which is something I find useful quite often. Unless there are some tricks to do that with the folder?

About once a year. Stuff I bought comes in a spray can. Two cans does the frame and anything under it nicely.
Smell horrible for about a day or two. Also do it on grass as you wouldnt want that stuff all over the driveway.

Thanks for the reminder. I have 2 1/2 cans left over from my Tacoma and need to get on this. Luckily no real snow or salt here this year.... at least so far.

3” lift kit, 35’s, WW flares, tonneau etc.
Today I finalized the spacer sizing and mounted my TRD skid plate that “can’t “ be mounted with the Ready Lift SST 3/1 kit due to the diff drop.

Posted my modifications to the currently available Ready Lift Tundra model year 2021 spacer kit here:

    https://www.tundras.com/threads/trd...-ready-lift-sst-kit-diff-drop-success.119378/

Lots of extra parts in the $45 kit, had to cut 3 of the spacers for height and cut and thread 2 if the bolts for length from the kits parts.

Overall, really easy to do if you have a vice, hacksaw, file and a 1.25 pitch 8mm die.

Installed the Ultra-Neo custom seat covers from NW Seat Covers out of Canada. Really impressed with the fit. Ignore the dog hair. I will never be able to have a dog hair-free truck again so I just live with it.

    https://www.nwseatcovers.com/

Paid $250 shipped. They're custom cut and I received them in about 4 business days. Each seat cover secures in 8 ways (4 buckles straps, 2 elastic loops, 1 stretch band, and 1 long hook & loop stripe that attaches to the underside of the OEM seat "bib.") It allows you to secure them in various directions to ensure a great fit. I'm impressed with the thought they put into the design of these.

I'll probably end up ordering the rear seat at some point, but 95% of the time I have my dog "hammock" in the back, so it wasn't a priority right now.
