New to the modified truck scene. Just purchased a 4x2 Toyota Tundra SR5 Crew max. I just pickup the following parts and getting it installed next week:

    Suspension:
Front Toytec Alumna Series Boss Suspension System 2.5 (adjust to 3 inch) Coilovers
    Rear Shocks Toytec 2.0
Toytec Progressive 3 Leaf pack with U Bolts (1.5 inch) lift
    Front JBA Upper Control Arms

    Wheels:
    SCS F5 18x9 +25 w/ Nitto Recon 295/70/18

Read a lot of threads and it seems like some plastic trimming and skid plate would need to be modified but there is some mix responses on doing a BMC. Based on everyones experience, is a BMC needed for this setup?

Just an FYI...the Alumas will put you closer to 4 inched up front right out of the box. They are preset at 3".

    Too many, but not enough....
You should not need a BMC with 295s. You may need to do some trimming but more than likely you could get it to fit well with an alignment, especially with the adjustability of the new UCA.

Honestly, I don't think you will. Have front mud flaps? If the factory variety they might need to get gone. Enjoy your new truck and beware if you hang around here you might be looking for a second job, maybe even a place to stay.:D

So out of the box the coilovers is set at 4 inches but it is preset at 3 inches? Milogen in Milpitas, CA will be doing the install. I am in Honolulu so I am looking at max a 3 inch lift and 1.5 in a rear since the parking garages here in Hawaii is low. Looking at staying under 80 inches in height.

Oh yea. I have a list of mods started already so I am trying to pace myself. Just pick up this guy: I like to believe I got a pretty good deal for the shape that the truck is in. It is basic with the bench seats which is nice since it is mainly going to be a kids hauler/beach/surf/home depot run type of truck. It is a 4x2 so I might get some flak from that but Hawaii doesn't have severe weather. There is some off roading on Oahu but I had a FJ Cruiser before this and never used the 4x4 or had a chance to go to any trails.

If you have rims that allow for strap on block traction bars, a two wheel drive can get around and through some rough patches. Enjoy!

They are set at 3 but it ends up being closer to 4 after install. I think I'm at 79 inches with mine.
