Perfect. Thank you. I have been trying to find the OEM in midnight black. Even the dealership said it comes plain and needs to be painted. I agree to do that over a wrap. But once I do get the "Stache" color matched, I am wrapping her in a clear protective wrap. I think the cost if worth it to protect our investment, IMO.

I still haven't personally been able to drive it (coming off a surgery), but went for a ride with my wife. She loves it. From the passenger seat, it felt great - but haven't done any OR yet obviously. Hoping to get back behind the wheel next week and will post my impressions.

    Thanks.
RC leveling kit and 295/65/20 Cooper STT PROs I am currently looking for a good coilover level for the front just for a better ride.

what did you uses on your mustache to delete the chrome?

I'm not a paint specialist, but I found a paint kit with the same code for the Midnight Black. I was tempted to buy and just primer and paint the mustache parts? Just not sure if it's that simple to prime over the chrome and paint?

I watched a video on painting chrome parts and before primer, they instructed that you need to scuff it - see the video below:

Looks amazing. I am happy to see that the 1290 will fit ok in the short bed. This is my 22 R. Hoping to have a Midnight black 23 Tundra soon.

Sweet!! I flipped a coin on S or R!! Love both but end of day more slab than dirt so this time went S. Btw..I use a one person lift to get in an out of bed if taking one bike vice trailer.

It fits but not sure I would want to wrestle the “500” pounds in an out of the high bed with a 10’-‘12 foot ramp.

This thread is about the Truck and color, I want to know more about what Krusher22Plt did to it. Looks like it was blacked out more.

yeah..sorry..didnt mean to sidetrack and not intent.
I painted grille with two stage satin urethane and has held well for 29K.
The mustache was factory code paint from oempainted parts. I actually was going to spray it myself, even ordered a little bit of the oem color but was a little concerned with needing to be spot on with a solid primer on the sanded pieces and then getting the clear coat just right. So decided to order the pieces painted from site above.

Hit me up for more info ( Neodyne) but this is a modular ramp as well where it breaks down so fits in the short-bed with whatever tonneau or topper you have concealing and securing it. Expensive but if interested may do a 1/2 off as I am leaning towards just using a new trailer I got now for my travels.

Nice... thank you. Did you fund it fairly easy to paint? Did you set up any type of paint area to keep dust off?

No, I haven't done it yet. I would probably got the route of just buying painted oem parts - I priced the parts out at one point (I think it was $1200ish).

TBH, I am not sure if I am going to de-chrome right now. I want to see some more examples of that Sequoia front end on the Tundra...that those guys - AdventureMotorsKC - are doing and the cost.

Oh. Sequoia front end? I'll have to take a look. I really wanted a Sequoia but I didn't have it in me to pay a $10k markup. Figured I'd wait for a year. See how I like the truck life. I have a 2007 FJ and an 84 FJ60. Total SUV guy. So l, I figured to rock a Tundra for a year and asses then.

Yes. Search 9 dealerships in a 400 mile radius and found this one sitting for 4 days 90 miles away in a neighboring state. Has exactly what I was looking for.
