I got the 1/4” hole mesh instead of the 3/16”. Probably should have got the 3/16” but oh well, should still help.

Screen is cut and mounted in the magnuson lid. Just have to figure out what I want to use to hold it permanently, either and epoxy, silicone rivets etc. It is in there tight, just taking precautions. Maybe tomorrow I can do the stock airbox and drive it around.

I got the honeycomb installed on the stock 3.5” intake and drove around. The furthest it can be mounted in the lid from the MAF is about an inch away which is not ideal. No noticeable issues or improvements were noticed. I do believe the tune should really be adjusted with the more uniform flow across the MAF though.

I say this because I had pending codes of the P0101, and for the first time ever the P0103 code. The P0103 is the code that is from exceeding the voltage limit for greater than 3 seconds. I did 1 pull and it triggered that code as pending. I also noticed it was going into throttle enrichment with much less throttle/load than usual. All of these things tell me the MAF is actually reading more airflow with the screen (probably just because it’s more uniform across it) than it was without the screen. I’d have to do some real data logging and tune adjustments with the screen installed to see the benefits I believe, and I won’t be doing that since I’ll be changing out the intake soon. The AFR was still erratic, but I can’t say it wouldn’t possibly be improved if the MAF was retuned with the screen. For all I know it’s my gauge, or where the O2 sensor is located that is the root of the erratic AFR reading. Just wanted to share the findings! For now I’ll be removing it from the intake since the tune clearly needs adjustment to use it.

One final thing to mention is I did 1 dragy after reviewing my video of the AFR and noticing my 0-60 rolling into the throttle in 2x4 was about equal to my 0-60 brake boosting in 4x4. I had a totally full gas tank, and it was a couple degrees warmer out than my previous best run and it did a 4.68 w/rollout, which is just behind my best run of 4.61 with less gas in the tank. It definitely didn’t hurt!

Lol I did make an adjustment to some details... All testing was done on private land of a family members business. The dragy slip can be posted to the private dragy conversation if desired.

Don’t let this distract you from the fact that Hector is going to be running three Honda civics with spoon engines, and on top of that, he just went into Harry’s and bought three t66 turbos with nos, and a motec exhaust system.

So I haven’t read through all of the pages of this thread, but I haven’t really seen any 2uz supercharger setups being discussed. I have a little dilemma right now with my 01, as far as the wiring harness goes for the trd supercharger. Truck has 75k on it, and the previous owner put the unichip piggyback modules on it. The main truck ecu ended up being fried, and I have the trd ecu that came with the dealer-installed supercharger kit. I just installed a brand new main ecu, and I want to install the original trd piggyback. I’m assuming the stock s/c ecu was removed because the previous owner took it out when he added headers and methanol. I ripped out the methanol system, etc.. Can anyone tell me or point me to where these cut wires need to connect at? I’m assuming the black/white goes to black/white, along with the black/red to black/red. The red wires I’m not sure of, and especially the little red wire that’s by itself. I don’t have any of the original trd manuals that came with the kit, annd I’ve done a bunch of digging into this. Any feedback is greatly appreciated! Thanks guys.

    Also looking for wire help.

Can any Magnuson owner get a pic of how this yellow wire runs into and out of the fuse box? Having trouble fishing it through.

Thanks! Ya both sets of instructions I have show them fishing it through where those bottom two silver fuses are, like they didn't exist. Didn't see any way to get it fished through without a lot of effort taking the box apart

I think you'll have better luck posting on the 1st gen sub forum, though maybe some of the 5.7 guys had a 4.7 back in the day and can advise...

Yeah, that definitely crossed my mind, but I saw the thread title and figured I’d give it a chance. Thank you for the feedback!

I got the 450-2, it's tight but expands at the bottom, do I need to dremel the basket or how did people get it in?

For the Harrop belt info, I just ordered one this weekend so hopefully this info is correct. It appears to be a 117.7” belt. I ordered the Gates HD fleet-runner and it’s a K081177HD. The standard Gates my kit came with was a K081177. I think they’re now shipping out kits with continental belts which is a 4081177 which I had trouble finding to order online.

I think I have to steer clear of it in my local climate. I’d be surprised if it makes a huge difference, but I’d love to hear about it if someone did some testing.
