Eight? Last time I checked, it was six. The two closest by the cab will most likely be the worst, at least on my truck. The other four I could salvage since I can sand off the rust and coat with nickel anti-seize. Truthfully, yours may not be that bad since you live in Texas. If you want to plan for the worst, just get 4 since that’s all you need to hold the bed in place. You can then decide later to put on the other two. Get a 1/2” T55 impact bit to get them out. I picked mine up at Napa after ordering it.

@txagg I've been wrong before but I bet your bed bolts might be ok based on where you live. I didn't try every bolt but I got a few of my bed bolts to move easily. You could always test all 6 before ordering any.

Hahahahaha, you guys with your dinky 6 bed bolts. A v8 truck demands a bed with 8 bolts people!!!

This is a good idea! I have a bad case of order-itus. Pretty sure it makes me feel like I'll get it done, or starts the process.

I have leftovers. Mine were in good shape but I ordered more anyway. Bed bolts that is. Happy to donate. I’m trying to rebuild every piece of my truck it seems.

Used my hitch hauler for the first time finally. Still need a better way to strap it down but this worked. I stopped by cycle gear to get their advice.

I did around 5 miles of trails and no one yelled at me.

i've never liked those types of straps. Barely trust the one that holds my ramp to my tailgate.

get a fork brace or seal saver.

I bought a fork brace today but couldn't crank it down far enough to work. I may need a different one.

Trying to work out a deal on a 1993 mr2… purely because I need its front bumper and some other bits. Partout the rest. (Maybe keep the shell and race car it though)

    Speaking of empty.
As the west runs out of water & private swimming pools are made illegal - what will people do with the empty inground pools?
fill with dirt? man-caves? Green house - grow your own supplies? build a garage & have an awesome work pit & store room?

With so much free energy from solar, you’d think they’d just build a massive desalination plant to convert seawater to fresh drinking water. They do that in the Middle East.

You were obviously never into skateboarding. That seemed so silly I thought it was a trick question. I’ve known people to build pools in their backyards just for skating, with no intention of ever filling them with water
cali just approved plans to build 2 of them. One in Huntington Beach and one in Capistrano Beach. Big ass projects will be big headaches for those of us that live here. I’m literally less than a mile from one of them.

From what I've read in the past, it's very difficult and expensive to do so but they are moving forward with plans to try it anyways.

One of the ongoing projects in my head is designing an ADU to replace my pool when that time comes. It’s 12’ deep at one end, about 11’ wide, ~18’ long. I figure if I’m willing to invest in commercial-grade structural support, I can do a basement for all the storage needs that small houses need more of, and have a decent sized living space, plus a loft bedroom at the back half. I’m weirdly excited at the prospect, and regularly work through designs configurations in my head.

That’s why if you use solar it’ll lessen the cost. It’s either that or perish. Water just doesn’t appear out of anywhere and you can’t force it to rain in the desert. They’ve almost depleted their aquifer in the Phoenix area, although they are trying to fix that by storing water.
