Help on wiring new stereo!

I’m in the process of installing Jensen stereo and can’t figure out pink wire. Diagram shows pink on radio side “parking brake (-)” plus has tag saying VSS. On the Crux adapter side it shows red/white (looks pink to me) reverse trigger. Would they go together? TIA

No not sure how to bypass it

 

VSS is vehicle speed sensor and is used by the head unit to lock out (or unlock) certain functions based on if you are moving or in park.
The reverse trigger is for turning on your backup camera
They are separate functions.

 

Do you know what the vss is connected to?

 

I got great help from Crux. Everything is working and excellently too. So much better than stock one.

 

So where did CRUX tell you where the “VSS” gets connected to? Mine, like yours, is pink, not red/black as on the direction sheet, and mine also says “PHONE MUTE” printed on the wire.

 

They told me it was not needed. So I capped it off.
