    Nice.
I think those will be my next wheels when my factory Split 5 spokes are no longer.
They look as close to a 'factory modern' as I've seen.
    They're spendy, even used.

Hey Doc! Those look great. I have a similar truck and am looking at snagging a set of these rims off facebook. You're not running any spacers or anything, correct? Thanks for any input!

At this point, I think I'd only need to buy some lugs as the seller isn't including any.

Dirt Deeds injectors, Addco rear sway, AEM dry flow air filter, last ever set of Stan's Try-Y headers, Borla full custom exhaust, front level, wheel spacers, and lots of electronics.
You don't need to run spacers for them to fit. But 1.5" spacers make it look just right and flush with the fenders.

Last year I found some FJ Cruiser wheels w/oversized DuraTracs for $400. Sold the tires for $250, so net cost for the wheels was $150.

I keep studded Hakkapeliitta winter tires permanently mounted on these wheels and change them out in May with the original rims and Michelin all-season tires.

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner, I haven't logged in for a while.

These guys are what I bought for center caps, and they worked well.

For everyone else. On these alloy rims that are flaking apart what options do I have on refinishing them ?

What this would cost. I kinda like the wheels that came w this truck and want to keep them going.

Could have them media blasted. Not sure what the condition will be once the flaking coating is removed. Then have them powder coated.

Agree. Media blast and powder coat.

Could probably find a wheel refinishing shop that would do both.

Any idea what I should expect in cost for such a service. Also the hub caps are plastic so I don’t know what that effects

It will vary widely depending on who you ask. I’ve seen $40 a wheel for powdercoating, I’ve seen $100.

Sadly not in today’s market. The lowest I’ve seen was $75 a wheel blasted and powdered, and that was 2 years ago.

The wheel man near my neck of the woods occasionally runs specials for $300 instead of $400 but I don’t seem to get those emails as of late. If the wheels are in good shape, not bent or anything and you like the style of them than I think it’s still a decent deal to have done.

Would rather have 16" because more tire is better.

What's the best tire setup on a stock height truck with 16" wheels and 0 offset?

Depends on the wheel width, offset doesn't mean shit without knowing how wide the wheel is and/or the backspacing if you already know it. A lot depends on width.

AC guys are running 275/70r17 on stock suspension without any noteworthy rubbing. Closest you can get to that in a 16" for semi-standard sized tires is 285/70r16, I think, which should around 32". Next step up, if you had an inch or so of lift would be 285/75r16, just under 33". You could technically get a little larger than the former of those two if you went 225/90r16, but that's gonna be a damn skinny ass pizza cutter tire.
