Installed the console wireless charger last night:

As well as a pair of AlphaRex tail lights tonight:
    IMG_20230120_205347.jpg IMG_20230120_205158.jpg IMG_20230120_205225_0006.jpg

I think both of them turned out great. I'm very happy with how the tail lights look. Now I just have to wait for my Morimoto X3B 3rd brake light to come in next week so I can take that on.

There's also a quick video of the startup animation for the tails here.

Pulling the 3rd brake light is a pain. Took 3 plastic pry tools at the same time to get mine out.

    Over the last several "todays"

Recieved the front hitch, got it replaced through warranty for poor welds, installed and used.

Curt - I was very unimpressed with the fit and finish on the first hitch. Customer service was great though.

Sent me a replacement hitch within a week after I contacted them.

So I assume these plug into the factory plugs? No splicing wires? Where did you purchase them? Look good.

    Yeah a ton - it's a Polaris rmk track, 40 series clutch and a 224 predator engine.

I'm in it about $240, mainly because I went with a new 224 instead of using a 212 that I had. It could use some refinement, but it pulls 800 lbs up snow covered boat ramps and hills no problem and cruises at around 8 or 9 mph. Works great for what I need.

Took about a week to disassemble (august) and a week to build (December).

PM me if you have any questions I'm happy to share what I know.

Since I bought my truck about 5 years ago, I had the dealership do the oil change. Today I thought I would do it myself. All went good until I tried to take the center part of filter out to drain the filter oil. The whole assembly turned. I tightened the canister 3 to 4 times and center piece wouldn’t break free. Sooo, I knew I would make a mess and took the whole assembly off. I tried to take it apart but it was so tight I I left it alone before I broke it. I replaced the filter and large o ring and replaced on. Next oil change I’ll work with it more. 9BA50068-A574-4173-9D1F-ECEB3C6BB0E2.jpg

Same thing happened to me my last oil change. I ended up putting the filter housing in a vice in order to remove the housing drain plug.

Oh, I also put the Fumoto valve in the oil pan too. And the RCI skid plate made it nice too. I didn’t have to take it off. 2 bolts to the oil filter access plate. I was good to go. 4F05DF13-C09D-4E18-8100-3162916BF3B2.jpg

Yes super easy to do. The QI charger has a T harness so you just pop the panel off the back of the middle console where the rear 12v outlet is, take the lid off, put the charger in, put it all back together and plug the harness in. It took me like 20 minutes total and I wasn't in any hurry. The tails are also just plug and play direct replacement.

Yeah - numb nuts at the dealer didn’t bother to look at the factory spec for torque on that little cap and just get it a couple extra ugga-duggas.
I had to use a 3ft breaker bar to get my filter housing off the first time I changed my oil. :censored:

Installed the power tailgate lock (PK3B6-34JS0). Installation is very DIY-friendly, although my truck had the LED bed lights installed by the previous owner, which meant the grommet under the passenger's side footwell already had a wire going through it. I sliced the grommet open to stuff my new tailgate wire loom through it, then used black RTV to keep water from getting through.

The tailgate lock works great, and I really think this should be a factory feature on all trucks.

I'll let you know - standard instructions say to cut a 8" hole in the skid plate for a filter.

I just have the stealership do my fluid changes so I can keep my Saturdays, I'll report back how angry they get.

You can trust I will be re torquing the bolts holding it in place after service though.

So I jumped on the SABM bandwagon. I couldn’t get the dang new intake tube to fit to the right of the OEM ground, the hole is drilled in the box as far to the rear as it could go. I made a new ground after sanding the paint to bare metal, then sprayed with Blue Ribbon. I traced the hole onto the metal while the box was reinstalled, cut it out, painted, and mounted the new intake port.
These pics are before I siliconed everything for airtightness, I figure that’s how to eliminate any whistles while on the throttle. There was quite a bit of trial and error to be able to get everything to fit snugly and cleanly, while being able to mount everything correctly.
I noticed a definite deeper tone in the motor sound. I can’t say for sure, but it seems the shifts are smoother, but my butt dyno may be on the fritz.
