Adding TRD Pro hood on other trims?

Has anyone attempted to install these on a non hybrid? Specifically without drilling. Only relying on tape/adhesive ??

I’m about to order the vents but really don’t want to drill into my hood. Thank you

 

How much for a set of TRD? Do they require holes in your hood?

 

Love that look. I’d add a TRD OR set if I could find them. Breaks up the large, flat hood.

Has anyone tried the i force by itself or seen the badging? Reason being, I have an SR (non OffRoad) and love the look but don’t want to imply my trucks something it’s not. This trim price just looks so good and does a nice job of breaking up the monstrous hood we have lol

 

Have a limited hybrid coming and would love something to replace the I force max badge. I bought the TRD pro badge but would love something more basic or just ‘TRD off road’. Obviously an OEM look would be a huge bonus. Anyone recently made progress or recently experimented with this?

 

Dude, just cut the tabs off and you won't have to drill and if you ever want to go back you can.

I agree with you, the challenge is finding a matching font, I did find “turbo” in a font close to what Toyota uses

 

Has anyone painted the letters on these TRD hood vents? I was able to get a set that has TRD off road. The off road letters are black and I wanted to use touch up paint to make the letters color match my truck. I don’t want to mess them up so was interested to see if someone has done this already.

 

Care to share where you got them?

 

I bought them from someone on one of the Tundra FB groups who had them made. He didn’t want them anymore. I will message him and let you know if he gets back to me.

Would anyone be interested if we made a similar hood molding as daytime running lights(white) or marker lights (amber)?

Thinking about doing that but it would be a bit of investment for us. Gaging interest here.

As others have stated. These break up the hood and look great. As many others have stated, we love them. There are a lot of guys running pod lights in that area. Are those useful?..not really as the factory lights, fog lights, and pro lightbar definitely do the trick. Do they look good? To most, yes.

I think a set of these with some amber marker lights would look awesome and I will be making something.

 

I’m 100% interested. I don’t like the chrome in the I force max badge but think the pro badge looks great. Would look cool with a marker light

I would definitely put those on my truck if I had them...I have a 2022 TRD OffRoad XP Series Tundra Crewmax and I can't put the TRD Pro Molding either...it's just does feel right to me...besides I have the TRD OFF Road emblem on the side to the back of my truck, so it would be pretty ridiculous to put TRD Pro on the hood... So my question is do you plan on modifying any more of these...I would pay for it...Holla back if you can to my email address. Thanks

Anyone actually taken these off? I very much dislike the Iforce Max on my Tundra, they are chromed and do nothing more then flash the sun in my eyes constantly. I wish they were black this those TRD's

 

They're easy to swap, but you can't just remove as there's holes under them.

 

You can plastidip the chrome parts like I did

The OEM Lightbar really is pretty crappy. Got the diode dyanamics drop in fog lights that are supposedly SAE compliant and they crush the lightbar.

 

I have searched non stop for the part number for these. Whatever part numbers are in this thread aren’t it. I found a diagram that shows the vents and gives the part number but on Toyotas own site it says it doesn’t exist.

 

I wish i knew how to create a 3D printer file. I have the printer and it works great, I just don't have the skills to create the actual file....

 

I want an easy blackout for the iforce max badge. I hate the chrome.
