I don’t suppose anyone here is upgrading their smoker and has a decent used pellet smoker that they might be parting with?

    I can dream, right?

Need a smoker or making a pellet forge?

if you need both try the Rectec Bullseye. $499.

    Trust me....it gets hot!

Here is the trick...smoke some bacon...then turn it up to Riot and stand bye!!!

Well that forge is most definitely more efficient for metal work:rofl:. I would hate to try an pull jalapeño poppers out of that.

I need to come out and hang for an afternoon. My 11 year old would freak out watching you work. Heading to SHOT with Doug F on Sunday. I will tell him you said ‘what’s up old man?’

I used to have the app on my phone with saved searches, but got tired of all the crap. I use Offerup now mainly and have it running searches in the background. Notifies me when something comes up.

I'm trying to upgrade my game, but no luck yet. If I finally get my new smoker you can have my GMG. Heck, I might be headed your way in a few months to visit our friends in Vancouver. Was going to order a bunch of stuff for tax-free OR delivery and would even bring it down for you. It's a long shot, but might be available then.

I hate to admit it, I haven't even used it yet. It's been sitting on my dresser for the most part. Just couldn't bring myself to take it camping...I know, I know...that's what I bought it for...just need to get past the "still new" phase.

Firestone will install their airbags and is a reasonable price and show people how to fill them. I’m more into sumosprings which are not adjustable but have no maintenance/can’t really break and he can install in his driveway in 20 mins.

Any of you NW guys have an Alaska Airlines credit card?
Are there multiple cards for different rewards?

Thinking of ditching my Capitol One card.

I have one. Not sure if there are different cards. Seems like there’s only one, but I could be wrong.

They are dropping new T&C’s next month and bumping the annual fee to $95. The benefits suck IMO unless you are a Bank of America customer. I’ve never been very happy with their plan, but seems like everyone else is worse. Decided to keep the card since I expect to be buying lots of tickets soon when my son goes to college

    Appreciate it.
Yeah, I looked into it a little more. Not a fan of Bank of A or annual fees.
My Capitol One card is only 1.25x on all purchases, no fees though.

I found a USAA Mastercard offer for 2x points on gas/groceries and 3x points on dining. 1x on everything else, no fee either. Might go with that

Yea it’s honestly only worth it if you travel a lot and like flying Alaska. The yearly companion fare is nice and the bonus miles are great too when you join (barring you spending the $3k in the first 3 or 4 months, could be different now), but otherwise it’s not the greatest. The Chase Sapphire Preferred is much better IMO as an all around card (vs the Alaska card), but also really beneficial if you travel a lot since the rewards are worth more (a decent bit as well) when you redeem them for travel through chase.

But the chase card has an annual fee as well, if you use it as a primary (and pay off in full every month to avoid interest) then the annual fee pays for itself and then some.

I've got (2) currently. Not the best card for overall points/rewards, but the companion pass pays for itself every year. FWIW, I actually had (4) once, back when they allowed easier churning. With the signup bonus so high, I'll likely be cancelling one of mine and getting one for my wife.

I'm thinking the Alaska card wouldn't benefit me a lot.
Our airline travel is very sporadic. Sometimes we fly 2-3 times a year, it could also be 5 years between flights.

Yea that’s how we are too. What we tried to do was dig in to each card and their rewards/perks and just get the one(s) that align to what we do (how we spend effectively).

There’s so many out there nowadays that you could find one or two that would cater more to your style, pros and cons to all of them (annual fee vs no fee, 4% back on groceries vs 2% back, free roadside assistance vs none), just gotta find the right one that suits you and your family

Edit: NerdWallet is a pretty solid resource when comparing all of the options
