Looking to replace my stock Billys on my 2020 TRD. I want to keep everything stock. I wouldn't mind upgrading the front coils. I travel a lot of dirt and gravel roads. I also do long Highway trips when Camping. Camper is under 3000lbs. Ideas? Thanks in Advance

Upgrade + stock can be a pretty big range; But, given your intended usage, I bet Bilstein 5100's all the way around set at no lift up front would suit you just fine.

    Too many, but not enough....

I mean keeping it stock as far as how the truck sits from the factory. I would like to set up a notch or two as far as a better performing shock both front and rear.

Not sure if this plays into your choices but! My friend and I both have 21 SR5 2WD Crew Tundras. In wanting to level the vehicles he went with the Bilstein 5100 adjustable shocks and I went with the Rough Country 870 lift kit, staying with the factory shocks. Both are now level but his vehicle rides totaly different (not better) and there is NO change in my ride quality. Food for thought as I know this has been debated many times.

Yes. You can run stock height that way, or move the clip up to add some lift. Some will add lift by swapping the stock springs for OME’s for a better ride.

Around 100k as my suspension starts to get a little squishier, I think about what to put on my truck to keep things as they are presently height-wise - I believe the OEM 'TRD OffRoad' kit is the yellow/blue Bilstein 4600's correct? I don't really want to change anything, but I'm seeing kits for the Bilstein 5100 set very attractively priced just shy of $500. I'd like to do a minor upgrade for the shocks alongside a front/rear TRD swaybar set. Stiffen things up a little, since my Tundra's a bit more of a road queen for towing things, but can't justify the fully-assembled Bilstein B8 5160 kits I see for $1300 either.

I have seen these kits too. Some of them look like regular shocks for the front? they didn't look like coil overs?

Guess you and I both just don't live in Rough enough Country for their stuff huh? =)

Yeah I think I'll end up doing the 5100s when the time comes.

5100s on the middle setting ride much harsher than the stock 4600.

Also 5100s are heat soaked in about 1-2 hours of log trails. I'll be looking at upgrading to FOX shocks w/ external reservoir. Wife's TRD PRO Sequoia rides amazing compared to my Tundra.

Dobinson looks like a good option? A bit pricey.

Dobinsons are a lot of lift i believe.

I just put 5100s all around. Very satisfied - Fox’s we’re overkill for my use case.

I just swapped out my worn out factory set at 70,000 miles with bilstein 6112 set at the lowest setting. I actually picked up just under 2” of lift. Rides so much better.

    Hi
    I have a 2020 tundra double cab w about 36k all stock
When towing my 23ft center console boat (roughly 5500lbs) it looks like the truck is sitting lower than before in the rear
Most of my towing is less than 5 miles each way with occasional 100 mile trips

Thinking I should replace the rear shocks
Reading this thread I’m not sure which ones would be best and do I have to replace all 4 or can I only do the rear?
    I’d appreciate suggestions
    Thanks
    LT
