in case anyone can use this, I don't have anything I need to order at the moment (thankfully). Here's a coupon for RA that expires in the next 2 weeks. If you try to use it and it doesn't work, ping me, I'll remove this reply, and give you another code good for 5% off:

I had to go look up one of their commercials to understand your comment. I've literally never seen one of their adverts before.

I just called one of the local 4x4 shops to get a quote on replacing my lower control arms. I've been dreading this job. They quoted me only $170-255 but are booked until April. Even at $255 that's almost a no brainer. I'm just worried about whether or not they actually torque to spec or just ugga dugga their hearts out.

    It's very tempting.

    I mean, it is a no-brainer.

No reason you couldn't have them do it, then just verify torque on everything on your own. Won't confirm they didn't overtorque (they prob. will), but you need to be re-checking the torque on suspension stuff within a couple hundred miles after doing the work anyway, after it settles. (At least I always have)

My only concern is that I'm supposed to cycle the suspension a few times before torquing the LCA cam bolts, according to members here. Otherwise it can mess up the bushings apparently.

But yeah, it seems worth it to just pay them. I'm sure my current bushing can make it until April with how little I drive.

Eff. Titans parking brake failed inspection. Leaky axle must've saturated the shoes. Dude said the ebrake has to hold when you hit the gas, (holds in gear at idle) but sounds like a bunch of BS to me. I've never had a vehicle that wouldnt overpower the ebrake.

I didnt give him no grief, i'm sure the leaky axle saturated the shoes. Might as well dig in and clean em up.

If you thought i'm the type of person that cleans and hand sands brake shoes and drums, you are 100% correct. i'll spread the adjusters ou as far as i dare. I Left the polished rotors, and pads alone. Minimal histerosis drag.
    281CE43C-BA01-4D30-987B-8BDD6B93D15E.jpg

today i became a communist. There should be a car company with the best and brightest all working together. Sure my titan has the lbj's oriented the right way. But guess who doesnt have parking brake adjustment with the rotor on. Not even if i were to remove the 4 bolts for the caliper brackets and backing plate.

Nothing wrong necessarily but they are the original arms and the bushings are looking pretty rough. I have new OEM LCA's sitting in my garage waiting to be installed.

I couldn't justify paying twice as much just to move the ball joint position. I'm sure they are well made though.

What's the boss currently rolling on, rubber-wise? Looks almost stock, maybe 275/70 at the largest. I bet it'd look good at that height with some 285/70s.
