Ventilated seats, yes or no?

Closing in on ordering my new Tundra and am wondering about seat ventilation. I like in the South, where it's more often boiling hot than cool or cold.
For those of you with ventilated seats, gimme some feedback. Are they worth the additional cost? It appears to me from the site I can only get them in Limited and above.
    Thanks for any info. Cheers,

    Welcome to the forum.

As to your question, I've never had them, never even thought about it.
I will suggest leather or softex (whatever they call it) over the fabric seat..

My wife’s Highlander has them and my new truck will have them. I would Echo what others have said, that they are so worth it, I absolutely love them. On a hot day it helps keep the boys cooler if you know what I mean, well worth every penny!

I accidentally switched mine on yesterday. I wondered were the noise was coming from but eventually figured out. The fan is loud for my liking but I'm sure I'll use this feature in the summer.

In 2018 the woman I was dating at the time bought a new Lexus IS350 F Sport that had ventilated seats, they are amazing and yes I say get them.

I will never own another vehicle without vented seats. I was skeptical about the vinyl seats in my Limited, but the venting works reasonably well and I don't get as uncomfortable in the summer.

I also agree on the ventilated seats. We have them in another car and I like them alot. Ventilated seats are on my list of options to make sure I get on my Tundra.

I just solved a 22 gmc Sierra Limited with the 3.0 duramax . I bought it brand new . It came with the buttons for heated and ventilated seats and a discount since they didn’t have the chips to complete . I was told it would be done by July of 22 . Nothing ever happened . They told me to be patient . I dumped it and went back to a tundra . My tundra has heated steering wheel , heated and ventilated seats and they are amazing . The hvac isn’t as important because the seat helps so much . Totally worth it

You definitely want them. I'm from Texas, so I am an expert on swamp ass in the summer. They are pretty loud though. But with the radio on I don't notice. Not to "overshare", but when get in the truck with a bit moisture collected on the nether regions and that ventilated seat gets to work......it's like a cool breeze taming that uncomfortable swamp monster.

Haven't had to use them yet, but as someone who has never had heated seats, I've put those to use over the last 3 weeks and I envision doing the same for ventilated seats when it warms up again Worth it IMO

I, too, live in the South. Love the ventilated seats. I leave them on low setting all the time in summer. On high, they really move some air.

Aren't the seats that have that built in them harder than the ones that don't??

I will echo this comment. My 1794 has vent seats front and rear. They are awesome and well worth the price but I do wish they were a bit quieter. My wife's 2022 Rav4 TRD Off Road has ventilated seats in the front. They are quieter and do work but not as well as the ones in my truck.

I like them. But, not a deal breaker. I wish cooling worked as good as warming on seats.

In Texas heat you need those seats to be comfortable

Yes do get Limited or higher trim for the ventilated seats. One added observation. I originally planned to purchase a 1794 for the leather seats. They look amazing. I sat in two 1794s and a Platinum. I switched to the Limited in part because the Softex seats are a lot more comfortable. 1794 and Platinum are beautiful seats but they were noticeably firmer and lumpy. I suggest sitting in both before you decide. Fully loaded Limited is the best buy for your money if you ask me.

I agree with the comments about the ventilated seats. I have had them on my last 3 trucks and love them. They really do help circulate the air through the seats, while cooling your bottom and legs. Well worth it!!!

Never thought about this. That would make sense, as the ‘22 SR5 I had did not have the ventilated cooling seats, only heated. They were very comfortable from day one. My ‘23 Pro seats are nice, but not as comfortable as the non-ventilated softex.

Limited Softex with heated and cooled ventilated seats are the ones that are more comfortable than the leather with same features IMO.

Well worth it. I was going to get the SR5 trim, but stepped up to the Limited just for the ventilated seats.

As someone living in Arizona who thought having heated seats would be stupid, I've actually really loved them so far. I just wish mine came with the heated and ventilated in the rear also

Yes. I live in southern Arizona and have owned a 2022 Limited TRD OR since last March. I used them often last summer and they really help cool you down.

Ventilated seats is one of the few things I wanted but couldn't get in the SR5 TRD OR. Had to step up to at least a Limited for that, but didn't want a sunroof and couldn't handle all the chrome.
