How long have you had your truck on the road at any given time ? I just drove my truck continuously for 2064 miles and about 32.2 hours. I changed the oil, oil filter, cabin filter and air filter the day before and topped off all the liquids (brake fluid, coolant, power steering, etc.). No issues whatsoever with the truck that just went over 175,500 miles.

I just returned from Boston, MA. Travelled to Norfolk to see grandkids, then to Boston to see aunties and cousins and then left on Saturday to travel back to San Antonio, Texas. Arrived at San Antonio, TX around 11:30 AM on Monday morning. The return trip was about 32.2 hours and 2064 miles. The only stops I made was gas stops. Since we are food and went to the bathroom on every gas stop we made good time.

WOW! Thats a long single shot drive! Longest for me is about 10hrs. I dont usually take a trip more than that in one shot, or if I'm going farther I camp a night along the route and break it into 2 days.
Did you solo that, or trade off driving duties between at least yourself and another person?

My longest trip with my Tundra was to my property near Forbes Ranch, CO. Going down there again Thursday. Only 250 mile one way approx. I will be driving up to AK next summer for a month. I drove my 09 Tacoma up there and back. On the way back I left Anchorage on Sunday,Aug 5th around 11:30 AM and I arrived in Aurora,CO on Wednesday Aug 8th around 8:30PM. AK to Yukon Territory, part of NE corner B Columbia, down all the way south thru Alberta, into Montana, Wyoming, CO. Approx 80 hours in total. Only stopped for gas, food, let my dog run around, and sleep for 2 or 3 hours at a time and hit the road again. well over 900 m a day avg give or take. Won't do that again. At least not that quickly. Next time I'll drive to Bremerton, WA and catch the ferry to Seward, AK and drive back thru Yukon T, south down BC to Vancouver and work my way to CO. Gas bill sucked with Taco's 2.7L 4 banger. Tundra will be.......wait, I don't even want to think about it. Gas in Contact Creek, Yukon Territory in Aug/2012 was (converted to cost per gallon) about $6.50 and cigs $15 a pack. Scenery.....priceless.

1100 miles, 16ish hours in my 03, Las Vegas to Oklahoma City, gas/food only, then 690 mi day 2 to Illinois, all me driving.

Prior to that we did almost 1900 miles to Indiana in a rented Jeep Grand Cherokee, gas/food only, my wife drove a 2 hour leg. We'll leave out the total trip time, so long ago I can't remember....

16 hours is my new max, probably as I get older that max will get lower.

Honestly, as you get older, your driving time extends, especially when you retire. No sense in staying in the house all day everyday getting older. Might as well travel here and there when you can. Load the truck up (pop up trailer with small gas stove, camp and fishing gear, beer and meat, and hit the road.

You need to load up sometime and head north and work your way over to the Alaska-Canada Highway. Bring a good camera . You won't regret it. Once you've done it ,you want to go back. I'm antsy right now.

Alaska from San Antonio is over 4 thousand miles. Would be a good trip to go via the Alaska-Canada Highway. Bucket list.

I went up by going west from Denver to Utah,Nev, Oregon (brother is there), then on to Wash, into Canada and drove to Vancouver, up the coast(wrong way, middle of the night) cut east over thru Whistler in heavy snow and back down to where I should have been. A 80 mile F'up. (blaming that on global warming) I then headed north up along the Fraser River. Crazy nuts beautiful. Once you hit Dawson Creek you are on the AL-Can. It only gets better as you head further up. That was over 4K miles. Took a week from CO to Anchorage. Too fast but had a job to report to ASAP. Going back thru Alberta was about 3400 mile. 3.5 Days pretty much non- major stop and go. Had to get back ASAP again. Next time I'll take a couple of weeks to drive it. No rush since I'll be on vacation next summer.

Thinking of going up north via the Pacific Coast HWY. I have a son in San Diego so that would be that start. With stops in LA, Frisco, Portland, Seattle, Vancouver all the way up to Juneau. Will see. Planning for next spring 2016.

You will have to catch a ferry to Juneau from Vancouver or Bremerton. No roads to Juneau. Only boat or plane access. It is the gateway to the "Inside Passage". Plenty of ferries this time of year. Scaled way back in winter months. Need a reservation then.

The inside passage from Juneau is unbelievable. Ketchikan, Skagway, Whittier, Seward are some cool stops. A little touristy right now. Best to go after Labor Day after looky loo's have gone home.

I also been on that ferry from Bremerton to Seattle. I was stationed at Bremerton for a year, when my ship was being overhauled. Used to take the ferry to Seattle almost every weekend. I good couple of times I missed the midnight ferry back and had to wait for the 5:30 am ferry.

Never made it to the shipyard but went to Whidbey Island NAS several times to do bore sight calibrations on USMC EA-6B Prowlers stationed there back in the early 80's. Didn't they have a lot of moth balled ships at the shipyard? I know a lot of ships went there for repairs/retrofitting and the like.

I remember I took a couple of prisoners to Whidbey Island Naval Station Brig. I got lost returning to Bremerton, as I missed the ferry and had to drive around Seattle to get back to Bremerton.

Lol, that's too funny Primo. I was there working at shipyard and we went over to Seattle and almost missed the ferry. I don't think I ever trucked it that fast. I needed a oxygen bottle when I got there. Great place to visit

That must have been fun drive. The "scenic" route. That happened to me in Vancouver,BC. Beautiful city but easy to get lost "temporarily bewildered".

Longest one shot was about 15 hours...Placerville, Ca to Provo Utah with a long layover at Twin Bridges due to plows clearing Echo Summit...driving solo, towing my FJ40 on a Carson Trailer (going to Moab). This year we did the trip back in one shot but I wasn't driving..BA Motorhome towing a Tacoma for way to many hours!
