    Thanks for the compliments.
I made the rack myself and basically copied a design from a good member on this site, @junior. A company in NY, tnutz.com, sells the prinsu rack style extrusions already cut to size and dilled/tapped holes with S.S. hardware. I had a local friend build and powder coat the side pieces and omitted doing the fairing...for now anyhow. I ordered the mounting feet from sherpaequipmentco.com. Check out this thread as it's details most stuff well: https://www.tundras.com/threads/my-diy-roof-rack.79617/

    Best.

My local shop couldn’t get Falkens, Cooper or even Nexen so I went with Kumho AT52s in 295. Stock suspension, no rubbing of any kind. I love how much quieter they are than my worn out duratrac’s where. We have a 2000 mile Christmas road trip coming up or else I would have held out for the Cooper XLTs.

Those look pretty nice. Have kind of a KO2-ish style side wall.

Yeah I dog them. The tread pattern seems like it’ll be a great do it all AT. We’ll see long term if I get the life out of them I’m hoping, but for $300 a tire I’m not complaining

    Too many, but not enough....
How close is the top of the tire to your UCA?

I just (within several recent months) found that Toyo has the open country at3 in a 285/70r18.
It’s a light great tire. Not as aggressive looking as the wildpeaks or KO2s or mickeys but the best looking tire in that next tier down of “super aggressive sidewall all terrain”

wife has them on her 4R and they’ve been awesome in wet dry and snow.

I will be getting these next year

I wanted these when I put the Nitto’s on my Pro. But my tire guy could not get them. Supply and demand with the Covid. Maybe when my Nitto’s are done.

It's my ideal tire, and I'd been looking ever since I got 295/70r18 Mickeys on my old 2014 DC. When I finally saw they existed Toyo's website, I actually called corporate and they confirmed their existence - I was floored. I had just purchased (back in may/June) some pristine take off TRD OR wheels with the stock Michelin LTX at2 or whatever those things are with less than 5000 miles on them from a member here @GT87 (great experience, btw). The redneck in me won't let me purchase new tires yet.

Anyone had any issues with using the spacers? I need some offset, but I haven't found any aftermarket wheels I like much, not to mention they are stupid expensive. A set of spacers costs much less. Did you purchase hub-centric or lug centric spacers?

I am thinking of going 1.25 or 1.5 with the hub-centric style spacers.

I was told by our local offroad shop that Tundras don't like spacers, though I am not sure what made him say that.

    Thoughts?

    Not sure at this point.
All the horror stories you hear about spacers are due to users who did not properly torque down during install and 50 miles after. If you're looking for a quality set, look into Spidertrax or Bora spacers - both respectively in the 1.25".

As stated don't buy junk. Something to point out though (since you posted this in the 295s on stock PRO), we have to assume that is what you are driving and planning on going with. With that being said several guys have had rubbing issues w/295s on stock PROs when they add a spacer. It pushes the tire away from the UCA, but the inner edges are more prone to rub bumper and fender liner area.

I have a black 2015 Pro with stock suspension.

I am torn between aftermarket wheels with more neutral backspacing or spacers on the factory wheels. My truck has the fender flares, so I need to bump the tires out one way or the other to look right.

Also - I used to be associated with Goodyear so I have some coupon codes that will save me a ton. Unfortunately, the Duratrac only comes in a 295/65R18. I think I really want some bronze wheels with Recon Grapplers but that is a lot of coin and not sure if I can make the commitment.

You can see my comments about spacers in post #446. As others have mentioned, no issues with quality spacers and proper installation. I've run both 1.25" and currently running 1.0" BORAs. I have a 2016 CM 1794 with TRD Pro suspension, TRD Pro BBS wheels, and 295/70 Cooper XLT AT3 tires (suspension is identical to the TRD Pro models). The 1" spacers bring the tires out about flush with the fender wells and no fender flares. Here's a pic for reference:

I know some others have cut the spare tire holder tabs off (closest to the rear bumper) or bent them out of the way. For me, I took a different route. I used a side grinder to grind-off the rivet on the front side of each rear tab - there are two rivets in each bracket. I then put about a 0.5" spacer with bolt in this rivet location which tilted the tab back enough for a tight fit on the 295 spare tire.
    Best.

That sounds like the best option I've yet read about so far! Thanks for the detailed reply. Spacer sourced from what?

It's much more work than cutting the tabs off or bending them back, but I wanted to be able to go back close to stock if ever needed. I'm cheap and think I just found and stacked a few thick washers from my junk screw box...you may need to play around with the amount of spacer thickness/tilt as 295 tire ODs will vary depending on the brand and tire wear. I'm sure you can find actual spacers at a good hardware store or McMaster Carr (pricier options!)

Don’t know what you’re talking about

    2021 Black SR5 Tundra TSS
He said he was able to order those through the dealership truck builder website when he ordered his truck. But then Roman couldn’t figure out the part number and said they weren’t OEM lol, probably something that specific dealership did.
Anyway they’re caliper covers and I am researching these for myself as well.

Here’s the thread where they talk about it.
