Looking for the best option to repair a burnt fog light pigtail on the truck's wiring harness. I would love to avoid cutting the factory harness and splicing something in, but that seems to be the only option I've found thus far. Anyone have a better option? Thanks.

Pics of damage, your model year of truck may be helpful, but the solution may be the same. If the plug burnt up, you need to cut it off and replace with a new one. This will likely involve splicing.

I can grab a pic tomorrow. Basically, one half of the plug shows signs of overheating. The OE fog appears to have had water inside the unit at one time or another, so my assumption is water intrusion caused the plug to overheat. Noticed all this while installing new SS3s. Truck is a 2013 DC, base model, 4x4.

There is no disconnect. You will have to do some splicing.
