I personally love Lindhor. American company. American made product. Their "Elite 1000" product is the panel type I've used around my house, there's a laundry list of "standard" sizes at the bottom of this page:

    https://linhdor.com/product/linhdor-elite-1000-interior/

You can get their stuff on Amazon as long as it's not a custom size. You'll need a size that fits between ceiling joists, so check the "WALL OPENING" column in their chart, match that to your joist spacing in mind when ordering. They can make anything you want, IIRC. They have all kinds of wild sizes, and you can get with simple latch or keyed latches, latches on 1, 2 or 3 sizes.

Support American industry, buy from a neighboring state. :D

I doubt this comment is about my opinion on Hutch (Hutch was the shit IMO), the other is just a summary of Jello's own words...

Friend gave me this koozie today. She told me, "I was a few drinks in one night, and this came across my screen, and I immediately thought of you. Had to buy it."

What you're dealing with right now is exactly why I haven't replaced the spigot for our front yard hose. It froze a couple years ago and I'm going to have to cut out the ceiling to replace it. I know it'll never look quite right again. Especially not if I do it myself with 0 dry-wall experience.

As ugly as they may be to some I wish they'd just put drop ceilings in basements.

I think Hutch was more prominent in the late 80's/early 90's. I wanna say they shut down around then. Or just stopped sponsorships. pretty sure the movie Rad is full of Hutch. that was about the era me thinks

Haha. Rad. My older brother and I were obsessed with that movie. I tried watching it many years ago and I feel it’s so poorly made compared to today’s movies but I know that’s obvious.

Kids come home this afternoon. So the wrenching will take a break. Amazing how much time it takes me to do simple things. At least I have a well lit and dry workspace now.

Didn’t touch the Tundra or the ‘05 this weekend but got the minivan all set and did a bunch of work on the arse end of the ‘16. Fingers all thrashed from that. My skin is so wimpy.

Based on my calculations of what I got done. I think I have at least a Dave-year of truck mods lined up. Hah. At least I’ll never get bored. Compared to Dan, my rate of accomplishment feels insignificant. But I figure with each thing done I get more experience and that streamlines the future work.

What is a Dave-year compared to say dog years or even normal human years?

I remember my Tundra bumper taking an afternoon? The Tacoma one was like 6-8 hours. Granted I had to do a custom job for plate lighting since it didn’t have any and the whole thing was a massively tighter experience. And I also did new taillights and a taillight fuse box install and cleaned up a little bit of my shell wiring. But still, a full day for a bumper. Slow. Didn’t even get close to starting on the front.

I think electrical will go easier for me which is the bulk of the work once bumpers are all done. But every time I think something should be straightforward, I’m proven wrong :)

I'm going to ballpark and say 1 normal year is equal to 3-4 dave years. Seems eerily familiar to shifty years. Must be related somehow.

And on that note, I need to get to audio wiring in the basement...

I got a call while backpacking(yes I’m bougie and only backpack where cell service and door dash can be reached) that my front bumper was already done!!! They got it Tuesday morning and we’re done Friday afternoon!!! I’ll grab it tomorrow and just look at it. It’s raining cats and dogs here, so I’m just chillin inside for the next few days! I’ll sort out fairlead hardware, and other things while I’m waiting, mount the winch once it’s on the truck.

My employer is now requiring everyone to dump their trash into one central wastebasket 100 ft away. They don’t want to pay per trash basket to have each emptied.

Somehow I don’t see everyone getting up out of their seat to walk over and empty each piece of trash.

In preparation they’ve discarded everyone’s cubicle waste basket.

I do have an old school black metal Swingline stapler. They can pry that from my cold dead hands if they want it.
