Other than Limited, which Tundras have the mustache?

Think all trims have the mustache with the exception of TRD sport

 

I’m coming out of an SR5 that was color matched from the factory

 

All of them. Only diff is “color”.

 

Do you know if there’s a way to tell which will have a color matched VS chrome, white, etc? The one I’m getting into says it’s “black horizontal grille with color-keyed surround” on the sales sheet, but the TRD OR package changes the grille. I’m wondering if it changes the surround.

Same with the wheels. They look one way on the sales sheet, and another on the website. Kind of confusing as to what the truck will actually look like on the exterior

 

Not sure. I have a 22 AG, TRD OR prem and adv OR tech with the chrome ‘stache and rear bumper inserts. I will be getting rid of the chrome.

They all do, some just try to hide it better than the others. I still am beside myself how Toyota could have put this complete disaster in front of a focus group and stayed with it. Apparently, in Japan, when a large group of people fall over in their chairs laughing hysterically and urinating all over themselves it means something completely different then in N. America.

From my research this is correct.
I'm years away from purchasing a Gen 3 Tundra, if ever, but the only way I could buy one is if it had a body color-matched grille.
The silver and chrome mustache would be a deal breaker..

My understanding was 'color keyed' meant the grille surround was body paint color.
I could be wrong...

 

You’re closer than you think. There are options to avoid the chrome. To paraphrase a company that helps with this, “friends dont let friends do chrome”

That rig is great lookin’. No connection, but have you looked at chrome stoppers? I’m awaiting their ‘22 ‘stache overlays as an option to my “problem”.

 

you’re right, when I got my SR5 it stated that on the sales sheet and showed up with grille surround being the same color.

this one says that, but being a TRD OR changes things. The grille and wheels are noted to change. But it says nothing about the surround. I think I’m in the same boat as this guy https://www.tundras.com/threads/2023-tundra-sr5-off-road-question.116587/

Only SR5 base, sr5 TRD sport, TRD pro, and capstone have color matched grille. Everything else is chrome, black or satin

 

yep. Got T boned in my original SR5. Waiting to pick up my new SR5 TRD OR. Which it sounds like will have a chrome mustache

if you look up a Tundra on a dealers site there’s a “key features” section describing what each truck has. “M Sport” is listed on a lot and I don’t know what it means

Could be. Either way you’re right, the OR is not color matched. They just listed it looking like a Sport

 

SR has black surround on the black grille.
SR5 is chrome for 2022 models. It seems that 2023 models might be color matched on the base SR5. TRD Sport SR5, but still get the chrome on OR SR5. - edit, base SR5 is body colored.
SR5 with TRD Sport is color matched.
Limited is chrome.
Platinum is black chrome.
1794 is chrome.
Capstone is color matched.

 

2022 SR5 base is body color.
