Wow...I guess we all have a different idea of what we find "allowable" in terms of fit and finish for our money spent on this brand dash mount. I suppose the ICS one has it's own fit and finish maladies, too. But customer service certainly has no room for error when it comes to what I, myself would tolerate spending even one single buck on an item!

I was told it must just be me… I have had nothing but problems with them and they have “suggested” me doing the same things and I refused. I got a molle panel mounted to the center console and the bridge that goes across. When I attempted to mount the bridge their ‘pem nuts’ pulled out. I sent them pictures and they sent me another set. When I got the new set I seen they sent 2 passenger side panels. They sent another set and it was correct “except” the mounting bracket on the drivers side was in a different place. When I called them and told them what happened they said just drill more holes. BULLSHIT MISTER!!

I finally got everything the way it is supposed to be. WARNING! Nothing listed on their website but the freaking bridge blocks the glove box from being opened.

I unsubscribed from their emails but I still get them, pisses me off

You can mount more than just one ball. If that is all you needed was one ball then sure drill a hole in your dash and mount an arm. You will find that you cannot drill holes that close to the actual dash front face so you need a longer arm.

    longer arm = more vibration

The plate that covers everything and moves mounting closer to the dash front is much better. I sent them pics of the ICS mount I used to have with the plate under the dash and how I retrofitted it to work with their mount so I did not have to drill any more holes. They thanked me for the info and that is the last I heard. I think they use gold in everything because they do not have many sales and when they do it is never a good sale. I guess cheaper is cheaper :notsure:

I recall them advertising the bridge blocks the glove box. Thats why I didn't get it. But that was over a year ago so who knows.

My incident was more than a year ago, I do not get in there often but that is like their power mount that blocks the fuse box. They asked me how often I get in there and did not think that is an issue. I guess other folks don’t care either because they keep on selling them

The customer is not always right. That is just unreasonable, antiquated, and a poor business model. The customer should be listened to and issue analyzed to determine if valid. Many people take that phrase to mean they can be rude and make unreasonable demands, thus leading to unreasonable expectations.

I have interacted with Rago in the past once and their customer service can use improvement. But it was more of them not getting ahead of an issue, lack of education, training or experience in customer service as it appeared to me so I had to basically tell them what I expected.

I liked the idea, but don't think I have that much stuff to attach (I can always change that ) I actually use the glove box though which kept me from buying it. Figured I could attach things to the side panels if needed.

I was surprised that they didn't even include large washers to distribute the weight under the dash. I made my own plate for under the dash so it really doesn't matter.

So this captures the transmission temp as well? I bought a Foxwell N301 and it wouldn't monitor the trans computer or ATF fluid. Ended up getting the 501 model to get the temp but it was expensive ($199 on Amazon). This would be a much cheaper alternative if it does capture that data point.

Yes it does. You just have to put the data PID in. I'll find it and link it.

Start at the 33 minute mark. He shows how to set it up. Snapshot of the PID as well.

    Lots.
Yes, one is the oil temperature in the pan and the other is temp in the torque converter. When installing the OBD Fusion app I purchased the 2020 Toyota add-on in the app to allow for monitoring the A/T temps. I then had to designate those PIDs so it would display those sensors on my dashboard and when I did I left the default name for the PIDs in the app in the description box.

I just used a Bullet Point universal base in mine. Have the same one in my Jeep and it works great, plus it leaves an area around the base you can still put stuff up there and not loose all functionality of that area.

Darn....Sure wish I would have read this thread before I bought my Rago dash plate. The base plate welding is all screwed up and uneven. You can see how the right side tab doesn't go all the way through and the top is uneven. I've emailed them. We'll see how it goes.

After reading some reviews, I did put large fender washers under dash side.

Mine was in perfect condition, completely flat.

I do like the functionality of mine, just ordered a second arm today. I am deciding how I am going to block off the "ago" though. Going to the leave the "R" visible, maybe put some bright red underneath to accent it as my last name starts with "R" but definitely like the version with just the "R" better. Have the USB portion just laying in the slot now as I'm undecided on if I want it or just use the housing and cap to conceal a direct phone charger from the cigarette lighter's wiring inside the dash? As of now I have the regular cigarette lighter plug in charger so the wire runs in front of the radio knobs or the display which I didn't think would be as annoying as it is.

I got one of the new Rago dash mounts for Christmas. I don’t have any issue with the logo but I did find that the usb charging receptacle that they include did not properly fit through the hole in the plate. The hole is a bit too small and I had to remove the translucent blue plastic ring around the outside of the usb to make it fit. Not a big deal cause I wasn’t super excited about a blue light up on my dash anyway. Also, the screws included to mount the usb to the plate were too big to fit through the holes in the usb molding. I had to enlarge them with a drill.

I am waiting on some ICS accessories to complete my install. I did not contact Rago about the issues I experienced. overall I’m not super disappointed but it would have been nice to not have these fitment issues.

I’m a small business owner myself and know consumers can be brutal if they feel like they haven’t gotten what they “deserve”. I wonder if any of you guys bitching understand just how hard it is to bring something like this to market for $100 or whatever it costs. Operational costs in this country are insane. Rago is probably experiencing growth and hopefully they can keep things headed in the right direction. Im not excusing poor customer service and genuine deficiencies in product quality, but the general consuming public in the US is clueless to the difficulties of small business ownership. You want cheap shit with free returns? Go to Amazon.

That all said, I hope Rago doesn’t totally melt down and make me regret my post.

Can’t you use the word Rago slots as mounting spots too? It looks like you could.

Victory 4X4 probably could’ve put some small slots in some area’s. But, I’m ok with it.

I like the Victory install video showing the complete install, including the USB. I think that will be my choice when I get to doing this.

I was looking and seeing something missing there. I see it's the sensor for the auto headlight function. I was new to Tundras and selection was in short supply so I leapt at one one only two DC truck available in my part of the world. Ending up with an SR5 TRD Sport that came with many bits that people add on later. Chrome delete being one of the big ones.

I ordered the Rago dash mount last night. Looking forward to getting installed soon.

I have not yet decided which mounts and arms to buy or from where. Leaning towards Ram mounts/arms, but I think they’re ugly.
