So I’m looking at getting side steps so my kids can stop falling out of the truck.
Does anyone have any aftermarket steps installed on their truck yet?

I use GoRhino RB 10 with the bedliner finish. I like them because they don’t stick out as far as the RB20 and they are not tapered (bigger in front than rear). I think they look really nice

I’m looking at the Go Rhino E1 power boards. Torn on what finish, textured black finish or the bedliner finish? I see several suggestions for bedliner finish on other Go Rhino style boards.

For me I was torn on which to get: textured or bed liner. I live in Phoenix so there's no salted roads. But I figured better to buy once cry once then regret not getting it down the road. So I upgraded to the bed liner.

I ordered a week ago and I'm glad I upgraded. It's a bit pricier, but I'm the long run I won't notice that price difference, but I will notice rusting boards.

I bought iboards for like 1/4 of the price, this is like the 3rd set of running boards I have installed, I dont understand where people see the value of running boards when cost is above 300-1k, thats insane, they dont have much of any R&D involved to make them. Just a few brackets/bolts and some kinda flat platform for you to stand on.

So after much research I found that AMP research power step is the best overall electric step on the market. Tried tested accepted.

However, AMP is not making their power step for the 2022 or 2023 TUNDRA model yet. And there is no known estimated time of when they will begin making them.

I’ve never heard anything bad about amp on non wheeling rigs . If you go in the mud a lot or wheel heavy you might not want that but I’d envy the amp steps !

on a side note my steps are mispackaged and are 10” short lol

Regarding your research, why is Amp better? How do they compare to Go Rhino; pros / cons? I see Go Rhino has dual motors. I contacted Amp several times regarding status on power boards but, from their responses, sounds like nothing in the near future…

lol am i the only person that think they look weird, look at the gap/seam between the body and the board, I think you need to realign them.

guess im just happy I saved $800 and that will go into the gas tank lol

I think you’re right . At this point the boards weren’t adjusted or bolted down . The bolts were only traded in a couple of turns

I have RBP powered steps for the wrangler we have, but they aren't making any for the new Tundras either. I have a 2023 coming soon and want something powered, because I love the look of it tucked away.

Yeah that sucks! I really need powered steps before I get my lift ( wife is 4'11"). That's the only condition or permission from wife. I really want amp xl steps because it's extra 3" plus only heard good things about them and issues with everyone else. Anyone know if toyota oem powered steps are available? Tried looking up part but can't find either.

Same. Though I might get kicked out of the bro club if I put powered running boards on a TRD Pro.

That's one of the reasons I went with the full-size RB20. I have them pushed as far under the cab as they can go and there's still plenty of step.

This is an opportunity to be training your kids towards being elite athletes.

Jumping from height to an athletic stance is going to help develop their fast-twitch muscle XD

I might get kicked out. I'm planning to put them on my solar octane trd pro as soon as I find ones I like.

Just received this email from AMP about powered steps for 2022 tundra.

(Thank you for contacting us. We have this project on the books but unfortunately, we do not have a firm release date as many factors play a part in getting the part to launch. Please keep checking back as we are constantly updating the website with new and future product releases. Have a nice day!)

Soooo basically no time soon. Prob gonna just get my lift and tires first and hope my wife don't grumble too much about height until steps come out.
