Yep - it's handy! But it also shows that the other manufacturers are right behind Tesla. The world is fast moving place in 2023, especially technology.

Tesla certainly paved the way with EV's and the features that a car can have. A revolutionary change in the automotive space. Exactly how Apple revolutionized the cellphone with the introduction of iPhone. What Elon did with the Model S was the turning point in EV history. I will always give credit where credit is due. Tesla was and is an incredible feat. But the EV rush is just beginning and I'm sure the big automakers won't let it pass by. Everyone is gunning down Tesla.

Competition, yes. Regulation, much less so.

Bezo’s should sell his shares in Rivian, they’re basically worthless without farts:rofl:

Sure is. While my M3P seems to be bolted together better than the average Tesla, it does seem off in some areas. It sure would be nice if it had the materials/build quality of some of the big boy OEM’s. I’m sure as all these companies fight for their EV portion of the pie, everyone will be raising the bar!

They don't have to raise the bar. They can produce a substandard product and you'll be forced to buy it via regulation. I 100% expect GM to take the lead in the next couple decades because they are already beholden to/owned by the regulators, and are less likely to be targeted by said regulators. Anyone who dissents gets targeted.

I don’t disagree, it certainly feels like we’re headed that way. Especially with a few states implementing their 2035 ICE vehicle sale bans (good luck).

However, I think we’re a long way out from EV’s replacing all our ICE vehicle sales. There are too many ICE vehicles on the road to totally abandon the platform. The economic impact of forcing everyone into an EV would be astonishing.

Tesla has Elon money, they won’t be forced into anything like GM’s Fed owned business:thumbsup::rofl:

Depends on what "investigations" find and what assets are seized "for the greater good." Immanent Domain is a b*tch.

You best read what one of the Fed watch dogs just said about the Hummer EV..... too big for today's roads and it's battery pack alone weighs more

than some compact cars.... crash studies are not looking good and insurance companies will be the 1st to cry foul...

Another federal intervention just like LNG was going to take over the trucking industry till they tried making it go cross country; oops can't put

sleepers next to explosive tanks and fueling stations are like charging stations ; few and far between...

It can & will be done once the FED's leave it alone and let the "Private companies sink or swim" Set the rules then get the hell out of the way...

Exceptions are constantly made for those who fund the powerful. There were rules stating that bailouts had to be repaid. Who got an exception to that? Right, the one owned by the powerful. "Rules for thee, not for me" is the status quo.

That's as deep as I can get without getting a ban.

Jut glad I’m not political (didn’t buy it for earth) and it’s paid for. I can see why Elon, and others will / are dropping prices- interest rates and of course layoffs nationwide.

That's comical. They've already "stepped in" by proxy in allowing a single state to make mandates that impact the entire national automarket with zero representation of those outside said state. On anything related to EVs, they have already stepped in, stomped around, and taken the candy from the baby.
