Anyone else get annoyed with the alerts/messages you get if you turn off traction control or if a sensor is covered. Has anyone figured out if there is a way to stop all messages/alerts all together?

I think it’s important to be noticed if there are issues imo

My 2017 will throw annoying alarms when sensors are covered with ice/snow. Toyota can’t do much about Mother Nature.

Yeah, but once acknowledged they should go into the background, even if a yellow “attention” light stays on in a specific area. It’s poor programming that these alerts stay active once acknowledged and cover 1/3 of the digital dash.

Yea that’s my biggest issue. It’s just the constant alert popping up for a sensor being covered with snow or if I turn my traction control off. I get a notification every 5-10 seconds even when acknowledged. I hope they fix something soon. Or even an update for the multimedia issues.

I agree, the same thing happened to me yesterday when snow covered the radar sensor when driving. It’s annoying that the message continuously overrides any other display function. I get why they do it though, they want to make sure that the driver knows that the collision avoidance system is disabled; legal issues I’m sure. I don’t mind the warning icon lit up continuously but it would be nice for the repetitive text alert pop-up to be canceled once acknowledged. It’s a minor inconvenience but annoying just the same.

If you use the side to side steering wheel arrow keys you’ll get to a menu with on/off for each electronic system in the truck. Turn off the one which is covered with ice/snow (mine is usually parking or front crash detection) and the screen will finally go away and leave you alone. The yellow light will stay on which I find is a good reminder to clean the sensor

These sensors are reason my insurance went down $150 every six months. I don't mind them.
