So about a month ago me right bright headlight went out. My low beam worked fine but the bright setting on the right side was out. I was Using halogen bulbs. I replaced the bulbs with LED’s (i gad Been wanting to do this for a while). The bright setting still didn’t work with the new bulbs. I then replaced the H4 plug on the right side, since it looked pretty oily and beat up, but that didn’t solve the problem. Any ideas on what I should replace next???

    Too many, but not enough....
Think there is a recall on halogen hi beams. Check your wires, you might have roasted the harness. Also put your VIN on Toyota website and see if you have a recall notice for headlights. If you do the dealer will do your repairs for free.

I did The recall a few months ago. That’s when they installed my bulbs for me. Cost a fortune because they had to remove the aftermarket bumper for some reason.

I've seen the hack job repairs that they are doing. No way in hell they are touching mine.

Sounds like the typical service department....absolutely no clue on what they are doing.

Part of the recall is for them to install relays in the harness. Most of them are being installed in the harness close to the panel under the headlights. I'll see if I can find some of the pics.

Hmmmm. Didn’t see that part. I’ll have to take it apart again and look.

You know I saw two boxes below the lights but they were just hanging there. They weren’t even screwed in or attached to anything.

That's sounds like the relays that were installed half ass.
