Anyone else waiting 6 months for a second fob?

    Nope. Will only waive the fee if it is the key that Toyota is providing. And everyone will have to sit at the dealer for an hour waiting for their key to be programmed. They need the truck to do it.

    If you're waiting 10 months for a truck something is wrong. I only had to wait 6 weeks.

    When you say hard key... Are you describing the key that only opens the door? Or is it a key that has a chip in it that allows you to start the car without the fob?

    Are you waiting for a TRD pro?

    There are Tundras everywhere at Oklahoma dealerships. I have seen multiple of every trim level but TRD pro.

    I bought the warranty that included Key FOB replacement. I lost my keys and I called the dealership to make an appointment. I had a new keyfob in about a month at no cost. For my '22 1794, I received 2 fobs so I wasn't screwed like most would be now. My wife's key fob for her Jeep was on the keychain too. Luckily, I always purchase the key warranty because of how much they cost. I went through the same process with hers and received a new keyfob in a couple weeks. The biggest PIA is getting an appointment to get it programmed.

    Bought my 23 on 16Dec and same story: came with one key fob and was told Toyota would send me another at some point.

    Toyota said it’ll be at least June before people get the fobs they paid for when they bought their trucks. Strange how they can withhold items we paid for but we have to pay for everything up front

    Anyone who shares a vehicle. Anyone who’s ever lost or broken a fob. Your truck is a brick without a fob. You cannot start it. You cannot move it.

    Yep.....I'd have a very hard time driving away after spending some serious $$$$ on a new truck and only given one fob.

    Yes, I’d have no problem waiting a couple of weeks. But minimum 6 months is ridiculous. I had a new fob on order on my own dime immediately after we got home with the truck

    I can understand supply chain issues with numerous parts, but a spare key w/fob??? A couple weeks would suck, but 6 months? Dang.....

    I agree it sucks to only get one fob. But what’s even more ridiculous is that you can Google that part number above and there are a half dozen sites that have genuine OEM fob’s in stock. WTF Toyota

    Toyota has denied my claim for reimbursement. I’m not surprised at all. They say I have to wait until at least June for my free fob. When asked whether they will provide people with a fob if their single one is lost the answer was no. Customer has to work with their dealer to buy a new one which isn’t available. This means your truck becomes a brick and cannot be driven.

    Something isn’t quite right with this.

    I ordered one online I am hoping after just buying a $75,000.00 truck the dealership won’t charge me to program it. I realize that is probably wishful thinking but I am going to ask. When I called Toyota customer service a couple of weeks ago they told me they hoped to have them shipped out in late February.

    Purchased 12/5 and same thing. I received one fob and one key, and was told Toyota will send me the second fob with no eta. I followed up last week with the dealer, and still no eta.
