Hi there, I just recently got a 2008 Toyota tundra double cab and just trying to find the best aftermarket headlights for my truck. Any ideas for good headlights? I was thinking of getting alpharex headlights.

Depends on what you want to spend. Some have had issues with the Alpharex, but better luck with the Alpharex Pros. I had the Morimoto XB LED headlights on my 2013.

Head unit, sub's , components, front / back camera's, too many lights to mention, dual battery, winch / bumper, TRS projector headlights, roof nest hard-shell, integrated backup spot lights, vault, all aluminum radiator / water pump, tailgate storage, plenty of dents and scratches
I was going to send a specific link to https://www.theretrofitsource.com/ but doesn't look like they do DIY install HID projectors much anymore... they've got some components but looks like they got got bought out by someone that's just sell dumpsterfire bulbs now :(
The problem with Toyota.. everything in my expereince is the reflector buckets are GARBAGE! no LED / HID bulb will "fix" the horrific light they're bouncing all over, and doing so poorly. I retrofitted a kit made for the model / year within a few months of buying it from them in 2017, love these projectors! I dare you, flash your brights at me

You and I are in the same boat. I've been looking and want to spend 400-500. I really like the Mirimotos but can't spend the $1000 they cost. There are so many options, different styles, bulbs, a bit overwhelming.

Another site I came across is Protuninglab.com If you come across some good ones let me know!

I'm not sure what you're seeing, but TRS still sells projectors, shrouds, ballasts, etc either as parts or as a kit.

I agree on retrofitting, if you have time/skill (really not hard), a Bi-xenon or Bi-LED retrofit is the BEST way to go for these trucks. I'm running D2S 5.0 Bi-Xenons w/ Morimoto XB LED highs in my OEM housings.

Just save up your money and get the Alpharex Novas. I bought a set of Spyder headlights and they lasted for a little over a year. I wanted the AR Novas at the time, but didn't want to spend $1000 to get them. After the Spyders failed (the clear lens started to yellow and peel), I ended up getting the Novas. So, I "wasted" $200-250 the first time around. I absolutely love the Novas and 2+ years they still look and work great!

Their website used to show which kits worked with what vehicle you entered, they all just say "universal" now, suppose anything is 'universal' when you're hacking and gluing things together but it'd warn you about fitment if you had a giant projector in a tiny housing, i like specifics i guess
    :boom:
