Today I did OEM Toyota black running boards and tuffskinz mudflaps. Gotta say the rear fitment on the tuffskinz was kind of shit.

Bro Grill + DD amber light bar.

Couple notes, many of which discussed but I didn’t realize until install:

-screws supplied by Diode Dynamics are too small for the bracket. You will need some #10 3/4” screws.

-You will need a camera bracket with the new grill. I zip tied mine. Works for now until I can get a new bracket…but honesty after all of those stupid plastic clips I’m not sure I’ll bother haha. (Ordered the Grill Insert from Sparks Parts).

-any leads on an OEM style switch or backing plate?

light is bright! I’ll probably rarely use it but in my opinion the grill looks strange with the big gap there.

Also, I found the plastic clips and all ofthe plastic front end a pain to deal with. It took me much longer than expected to disassemble and reassemble/install. YouTube was my friend.

It is pricy, so if you have a color that has a duplicate, it would be cheaper to order that.

How long did the removal and installation (of everything) take?

I don’t have a garage and the weather is crap for the next 3 month up here so will likely have a shop do this for me in conjunction with a ton of other stuff I plan in that area (TRD flares, de chrome mustache, etc)

…and yeah those lights aren’t intended for everyday driving around where other drivers are present (which I know you know so not being a smart azz or anything)….so I am glad they are nice and bright for those dark country roads and night runs some people do.

I’m pretty mechanically inclined and this took me about 4-5 hours total with the light bar + wiring.

    Looks Sweet!

I have the Tow-Mirrors so the extra blanks are filled up. My only blank spot was a double so I got creative. Even the smaller blank square next to it has some wires to it….not sure what those are yet, some kinda harness.

Drilled it out until the provided DD switch sat flush. Works for me.5408F751-7D34-4C36-AE4D-0EF5A7A3F057.jpg

Finally took a day off from the warehouse. Put on some yellow vvivid vinyl wrap to the fog lights and black ash wood on all of the window switches and seat functions! Only took me 5 tries to get it right lol

Supposed to but I cannot find where the shop may have put it. Was after hours when I got it back so will revisit that with them.

What finish did you get, textured black or bedliner coating?

Regular powder coated black, not the bed liner finish. Figured it would be better for cleaning. If I tried to wipe down the bed liner finish I thought I would probably get lint etc. stuck in the finish.

I love it so far, the flexibility is great. I had a softtopper on my tacoma. I liked it, but I really wanted to be able to put it down most of the time when the dogs weren't back there. The problem was then my truck bed would be exposed. This truly is the best of both worlds. Build quality is great, built in the U.S., and company has great customer service. Meets my needs.

There are some additional pics in the threads below, mostly of how the setup operates.

Why not paint the mustache black? Just curious as I am debating between blacking out the grill and the mustache
