In this day and age while it exists I still dont get why front and rear cameras arent installed by default.
    (talking dashcam)

I've got dashcams on all my other cars and the feature has paid for itself over a few times already.
(from hit and runs to accidents where the other driver denied everything)

While pretty good cameras can be had for 200 or less, toyota asks for a 600 premium on it and that doesnt even lap into the rear camera.

Maybe, but just give me a good price and get me out of there, I'll figure out the features eventually...

Sales/Delivery mentality has shifted due to COVID/supply chain constraints since most don't know the vehicles anymore, it's a this is what we have, take it or leave it mentality. Don't know how many times I went to dealers asking for specifics on color/model/drivetrain (blueprint/platinum/4x4) only to have them pitch me an SR5 or 1794 with nothing I wanted...

Doesn't work when your parked/idling inside the cab, tried that one already for a grocery run/pickup.

You can’t drop your tailgate from the fob while inside your truck with it running. The fob only works outside the truck with it off

I do appreciate the button on the light and the key fob option, but a button inside could of easily been done and a nice option

    Lots of stuff!
There has to be some programming to prevent the taillight button from working while the truck is moving. Not likely to hit or bump the button but if the switch shorts out due to moisture, you don't want the tail gate dropping and unloading you truck on the highway.

My saleslady was top notch. I knew more about the truck in general than her, but she knew how to set up and show me the new tech. Made the learning curve alot steeper. I didn't mind spending the extra time at the dealership because I was also able to give my new truck a full going over checking for any of the issues that had come up on the forums. I find that much better than rushing out of there and getting home to find a problem.

I haven't tried the tailgate release while parked/idling. Makes sense it wouldn't work while the engine is running, but it'd be a nice feature.

I can say the same about mine (knowledgeable, but I knew more about the different models/packages), but I was short on time due to circumstances. I didn't want to preorder (a few horror stories from friends with other manufacturers) and just happened to check their site/inventory and had a vehicle that almost matched what I wanted (no power running boards), called them up and expected them to say it was a preorder only to be told it was available. Ran up there on my lunch break expecting them to remain firm on the "dealer added value" fee of $7k, but they dropped that pretty quickly, so I signed, did a more in depth look over after detailing and drove home just in time for my next meeting
