Do you have any needs that are not met by a current product? What are your biggest pain points when it comes to the utility, function, and usefulness of your truck with or without aftermarket components?

For me it’s height adjustable driver seats on the base model SR5.
I had it on my base model 2015…Toyota saw fit to take it out so now it’s either a lower seating position than I like or items like seat jackers which I don’t know will hold up should I get in an accident or such.

It would be nice to have a cover over the back seat storage when the seats are up.

A door touch keypad entry system would be nice for surf/ SUP/ watersports where you don't want to carry keys or phone. There is one available for other Toyotas.
I have thrown my golf bag in the bed (with tonneau cover) and shut the tailgate without taking my keys/ phone out of the golf bag in my old GMC. It wouldn't sense the key in the truck bed so it was nice to have the keypad on the door to unlock. I haven't checked to see if I can lock the keys in the bed on the Tundra...

Mechanism to lock the doors when you exit without having to reach for the key fob, either auto lock after all doors close for 60 seconds, or push button on the door handles.

Locking from the inside as you exit isn't the same as the mirrors don't fold in.

You can't lock the doors by touching the top of the handle?

Many vehicles in this price range lock when you walk away. They also unlock a door or doors (setting dependent) when you approach. The better ones will activate perimeter/puddle lighting as well.

I’m always wising we had a button on the inside of the truck as well to drop the tailgate. It would be nice when the kids are coming out of hockey to have the tailgate down already

I was going to say no based on my experience, but I just double checked the manual and it seems there is a specific part of the door handle that needs to be touched, will need to test this at lunch....[edit]can confirm, it works. My post can be trashed [/edit]

100%. The automaker who builds a 1-ton midsize Hilux for the rest of the world needs to give us a high payload capacity option. I would absolutely sacrifice a bit of ride comfort for a solid 2,000lb of payload.

Before anyone says, "well it's a half ton, what do you expect?" The terms half ton, 3/4 ton, and 1 ton are kind of meaningless at this point. Both Ford and GM make "half ton" crew cab 4x4 trucks that have over a ton of available payload.

This is really the only thing that would guarantee that my next truck is a Toyota.

I'd like to see someone make an integrated bumper step like the GM trucks. Where you pop out the color matched panels and screw in panels with a step.

I had been meaning to research all of that for a few weeks now, and this post just did that for me. Went in the garage and tried all of that, very nice.

Y'all need better salespeople if they didn't show you how to lock your truck by touching the door handle. Going over the features is sales/delivery 101.

You can drop your tailgate with the button on your fob.

I'd like to see front tow hooks that mount in such a way they don't tear off the bumper in real world use, like the AFE ones will. As someone mentioned above, bumper corner replacements to have an integrated step would be great.

I'm also waiting for someone to come up with an improvement to the interior lighting.
