I am trying to upgrade my battery cables to a heavier gauge. I was looking for how many cables, lengths, and lug size that will fit my alternator and grounds.
I checked the manual and I looked online but couldn’t find any info.
I tried following the lines but there is heavy loom and a “nest” and cannot tell where the wires go once under the alternator.

That wiring harness loom will wrap around the engine block and will plug into the starter, and unless you have small hands you will have to remove the heat shields out and possibly the starter out as well... I'm not saying don't do it, I'm saying you will have to do some work to get it all out....

    Some stuff
you need to look up the big 3/4 upgrade. i did it on my truck. here is some info...

    https://www.tundras.com/threads/big-3-4-wire-upgrade.10285/

i didn't post much info when i did it to my truck but, there are a few pictures starting here.

the cable from ce auto electric is the best i've ever used. i do not buy wire from anywhere else now.

my only advice is to go slow and take your time. you will need to remove passenger front wheel to get access to the alternator. it is the worst part about the entire process. you will not need to pull the starter.

Resurrecting old post, sorry. I ordered everything from "The big 3/4" upgrade post (nicely done), but I have an additional question. Actually, two. I ordered all 1/0 wiring and now I'm thinking I should send it back and get 2/0 in it's place (only 15.00 more)? Thoughts? Also, for those who have tackled this project how long did it take? My Tundy is my only vehicle an need to factor that in when planning. I was looking at an LActrical 300amp alternator on ebay ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Z5FS6WV?_encoding=UTF8) I know it's no 600 DC alt but maybe it's better than stock. Any opinions would be much appreciated -Thanks!
Oh also, I was thinking of doing the diode upgrade since I'm dropping in a ODYSSEY 31 battery, too.

Did you end of getting the High Output LActrical alternator? Was thinking of upgrading if it’s good to go. I ordered 1/0 big “3” upgrade wiring.

I did and it has been working flawlessly through 105 F summers and -20 F winter's. Look at doing the Big 4 NOT 3. Also, if using an AGM battery do yourself a favor and do the GM fuse/diode (I don't remember what it's refered to) Basically it steps the recharge voltage to 14ish so it fully charged the AGM.

As far as the alternator I'd buy again no problem. Good luck
