I removed the BSM on mine, I have the sensors in my garage if you find someone else wanting to add them

We gotta pay for that too
BSM and sonar are separate systems but usually bundled together (except for chrome bumpers). It’s possible you have most of the wiring needed for BSM if you already have sonar

    Gotcha.
I thought you were saying your Switch Pro was in the little card holder spot right behind the shifter (like the SDHQ mount), which is where a lot of us have put the rear window switch. That’s why I was pointing out mounting the SP up high, so I could put the window and camera switch behind my shifter

Are you absolutely sure you’re a Toyota guy? :D

I drive my truck cross-country with the family all the time. It is awesome having all the space to put gear in the bed. Three kids in the backseat. Our chocolate lab fits comfortably on her bed at their feet. Best road trip vehicle we’ve ever had.

The new Sienna is fantastic, and we almost ended up with one, except my wife and I both really liked this LX570 we test drove.

I would never buy anything Chrysler unless I wanted to be friends with my dealership service manager. If they are readily available, and if the Sienna is hard to find without a markup, that alone should tell you something.

Hey All, trying to comb through the thread for ideas, but there are quite a few pages. What are a few mods that are worth while to do in early ownership? I am doing cat shields and need some more ideas! Appreciate the knowledge.

Welcome to the forum. I'd say hide your wallet, but it won't matter.

Inexpensive things that make a big difference: The driver's side A-pillar grab handle is an quick and cheap mod that makes a big impact on most. If you're taller than 5' 10", consider seat jackers; they make a big difference in ride comfort. Interior de-chrome/de-silver is pretty inexpensive, and getting rid of glare is a weight off.

[Edit:] LED bulbs everywhere. Make sure your third brake light bulbs are shielded, or they'll interfere with your fob.

Pricier stuff: Replacing chrome with paint-matched exterior parts hit my wallet harder than I'd have liked, but I'm happier with how it looks now. I added a hard tonneau, but that's not really for everyone. If you need to lift past the level the Pro already sits, plus wheels and tires; those will obviously hit your wallet pretty hard. I have a 1794, so mine didn't sit pretty like your Pro when I bought it. I'm not an audiophile, or I'd have changed the head unit by now. A winch and semi-hidden bumper are on my list, too.

There is no shortage of great ways to spend money here.

Welcome to the rabbit hole. The list is long.

I was hoping to complete my VLEDs interior light and front/rear footwells intall today, but apparently FedEx decided to ship them back to TN rather than deliver them.

Hit the LR Tundra in the upper right of the main page and browse my build thread. It’s roughly a chronological list in my journey of “I’ll buy a Pro and won’t need to do anything to it”

Thanks for the quick responses and overall knowledge. I will take a look at both of those builds. I don’t know how much I want to spend, but the list seems endless. Guess I need to get a second job, haha.

For sure. I am extremely excited. My first vehicle that I actually fell in love with. This forum has been full of so much information. I am trying to digest it all. CatShields are my first go. Wish it wasn’t, but seems like a logical start so I attempt to avoid 6-8k.

I've come out of the store twice with a shady looking truck parked next to me (I park away from everyone) that zipped off as soon as I hit the auto start. May be unrelated but if not, the cat plates helped.

Mine did this exact crap a couple of months ago. I swapped batteries thinking it was a voltage issue with all of these modules in this truck. No dice. Ended up reading that the BRAKE PEDAL SWITCH had a hand in those systems and had been known to get weirded out. I took it off, exercised it, cleaned it up thoroughly, and reinstalled. All of those warnings cleared. Something to try.

Fun! I enjoy painting and painted the mirror caps when I did my grille and surround.
If you are only doing the caps, you could get away with using aerosol cans since they are small enough. I know a paint place in Haltom City (inside the 820 loop) that can mix custom paint in aerosol if there isn't an off the shelves can for you.

Thanks. I'll keep them in mind. I've used automotive touch up and they are good but Toyota cement has so many shades it's kind of hit or miss. I have had cans that work perfect and others that are darker.
There is a 18 cement Tundra in town and when I park next to him it looks like an entirely different color.

Yeah... that's why I wanted to go to a place. Also I avoided shipping. But this place in Haltom has the scanner, they walk out to your vehicle and scan a body panel and then mix to match how yours looks (either the different tint from factory, or to account for 6 years of being in the sun). Prices are on par with the online places too so you basically trade shipping for gas money

Please PM me the info. I had a garage door encounter with my passengers side end cap. I can get it all knocked out at the same time. When we settle on and can find the trailer we want.

When i had my front end color matched my buddy had some leftover R3R from another job and when I asked why he didnt just use that, he said he could have for the base coat but would have to color match the top anyway due to paint mix variations.

I highly recommend getting a good scan and custom mix for exact match.

Bought a somewhat beat up 2019 yesterday to replace my very beat up and rusting out 2500HD duramax.
I'll miss the turbo whine and the 800 lb ft of torque, but not going to miss that diesel fill-up.

I kinda wonder how thick the paint/clear is, there are so many little scratches all over this thing, and the fender flares have been scratching up the fenders and bedsides...
