Hi, I've a 2006 tundra dc that was sitting for about six months. It fired it easily with a jump starter but within minutes the pedal went all the way to the floor. I then checked the brake reservoir and it was empty. I looked around for any leaks but didn't see any wet spots. It's hard to spot since it's parked on grass. I then filled up the brake fluid and the pedal worked normal for a few minutes and it ran out of fluid again. When I turned it back on the shifter wouldn't budge. I turned it off and figured let me move it to neutral and try starting again but I think I forced it into reverse. Now it won't start at all obviously since R is lit on the cluster. The shifter won't move anymore. Is there a safety cable that locks the brakes and shifter that I can temporarily remove? Thanks

IIRC, you can't shift out of gear when there's no brake fluid. Safety mechanism. Figure out where all the brake fluid is going, stop it from dumping out, and you should solve your problem.

Yeah I definitely need to fix that. It's just not in a very accessible spot at the moment and I just need to move it 30 feet ahead.

If you aren't seeing any leaks visible it may just be filling up the booster with fluid

Disconnect the rear of the driveshaft and drag it out.
