Has anyone bought and installed the Go Rhino E-Board Power Running Boards? If so, how was the installation?

I wanted the OEM power running boards but they were not an option on Limited trim. Wondering if anyone has bought the parts individually from Toyota and installed them?

I sent them an email asking for more photos and when they would be back in stock 3 days ago with no response.

Not a single person has gotten back with me. Customer service is not as great as they say I guess at GoRhino.

A Toyota service tech who does a lot of Tundra upgrades said my truck body computer ecu won’t be able to operate the power boards.

good morning, those boards have been very popular and right now we are approx 4-6 weeks on ship delay

if you need them i would suggest ordering now - we have a bunch on back order already and will be out again very soon

Got this back today. I like to buy and get them in a few days so I guess I will
Be waiting till AMP comes out or they get in stock.

I don’t have any experience with power boards. Any thoughts - opinions based on experience between OEM, AMP, and Rhino would be appreciated.

Amp boards are top notch. I have had them for 2 yrs and love them. They were easy to install and tapped into the OBD port. Pretty much plug and play. I think they are on most OEMs that have power steps.

I reached out to Amp yesterday to see if they had options for 2022 and newer.

“Thank you for contacting us. We have this project on the books but unfortunately, we do not have a firm release date as many factors play a part in getting the part to launch. Please keep checking back as we are constantly updating the website with new and future product releases. Have a nice day!”

I used the chat feature on the Go Rhino web site and they told me 12/16 for shipping. Placed the order and signed up for email and phone notifications and got 25% off.

Personally I would wait for AMP. Get the dual motor option if you live where the will potentially be iced over.

I have all the parts, waiting to have time to make a harness.

They may be right, but I think they'll be wrong. There is a separate ECU that controls the boards.

So I was at my dealer yesterday and their accessories guys said that they will be selling GoRhino power boards. Had 9 pre-orders already. Apparently AMP dropped the ball and now Toyota is switching over to offer GoRhino boards over AMP. This shocked me and the parts manager said he didn't know all the specifics but AMP has continued to miss deadlines.

Had the GoRhino power boards installed Thursday. They work just like they are supposed to. Tuck up nicely under the rocker panels and deploy when the door is opened. They are sturdy and the step is nice and wide. I like that they use two motors on each side so they deploy evenly. This was the first install the shop did so it took them longer than anticipated but all is good.

Most OEM seem to run AMP and with chip shortages and stuff I wouldn’t be too surprised if this is true…it’s just unfortunate.

Nice, thanks! Totally want them!! If it wasn’t winter now,I’d buy today.

Any thoughts, suggestions, or opinions between the two finish options? Roughly $300 difference in price between them.
