Speaker upgrades

Hi,

I’d like to upgrade my speakers. Maybe an amp if needed. I don’t have the JBL system. I have a Hybrid crewmax, not much storage in the rear for a box/amp combo. Any suggestions what to get or look at. Not a “bumping type” of guy but occasionally like to crank it up some. Also, options for installation? I’m not aware of any independent and or auto-stereo specialist in my area. Best Buy any good?

I’m waiting for OEMaudioplus to release their kit, I’ve heard great reviews about their stuff and it’s all plug n play

 

I'm wondering if the cabin insulation would be an issue? Or will it decrease sound experience if one were to upgrade to better speakers?

Yeah…I’ve got all kinds of rattling when I turn mine up to certain levels (not a thump thump guy either) so when switching to a better plug and play setup I may just invest in some deadening in that area.

According to what I’m reading they will tune the Digital Sound Processor to the Tundra based on what type of interior you have (Softex or cloth), at least I saw that in their other kits, so you shouldn’t have to adjust it much if at all, now proper sound deadening is a must because adding any mid bass will make these door panels vibrate like crazy, that will be up to the end user
