Red and black wires behind headlights

    Found open ended red and black wires behind both headlights heat shrinked into original loom ??? Good gawd how do you post pics on here damn.

    8" Lift, 22x10 Fuel Forged FF19, 37x13.50r22 Trail Grapplers, Amp Research steps, Spyder black smoked headlights with 35w HID's, all interior lights LED, Undercover tonneau.
    Doesn't look like stock wiring, the bullet connector for sure aren't stock.

    Definitely not stock. Looks like a power and ground for an auxiliary something or other.

    I think the same, but why on both sides. The wires on the stock connector are so small they couldnt hold enough amps to run mutch more than the headlights

    I've run into this a few times where someone has spliced in a cheap set of "I got these off of eBay for $20" HID headlights because the plug end was incorrect.

    It may also have been connections for resistors if the p.o. had l.e.d. turn signal bulbs. I would check the taillight harnesses as well. In any case, if your lights are all functioning properly I would remove the wires at the splice, reseal, tape, put back in the loom and forget they were ever there. If you decide to leave them I would fill the ends of the connectors with dielectric grease and tape them up good to prevent corrosion problems.

    Yep, im gonna put different terminal ends on the leads and keep them. They appear to be sealed properly except the ends. Maybe i will use them in the future.
