WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO YOUR 3RD GEN TUNDRA TODAY?

Very interested to see/hear your input on the Rhino power running boards.

So far the only things I have done to my new truck is add a rear cover and take out the piped in engine noise.

 

Do you think the kit has enough juice for 4 after market fender flares, or would you need multiple? Just got a quote of $800 for rough country sport flares, going to hunt for a cheaper option.

 

I didn't end up going with this option. I decided to wrap my pieces in vinyl instead. I wouldn't know how much that kit would paint, but I think you'd be pushing it with 4 fender flares cause you'll need multiple coats.

yea flares are cheap, but paint is pricey! I hate the look of aftermarket flares non paint matched, looks so cheap to me.. but $800 for paint is well.. crazy high

 

Raised letters on the tailgate and front bumper, tinted front windows to match the rear, bed step.

Got some new shoes installed. Method Racing 705s with 285/65/18 KO2. It's got a little bit of poke, but not too much.

 

What lift kit are you running if you don’t mind me asking?

 

It’s the TRD lift kit. When I picked up the truck from the dealership back in November, they didn’t even know Toyota had it available. I was able to add it to the financing, and they had it installed the next week.

 

On the agenda already.

 

This actually happened Sunday! No one seriously hurt. Lady in the Mercedes speeding through a red light at 6:45am high on something, I was going 40mph on impact she was probably going 50-60mph. Guess I’m restarting my search for another crew cab long bed… Hopefully it doesn’t take another 9 months.

Damn, sorry to see this, obviously glad everyone is ok, looks like the other driver could've been seriously hurt from that impact. Great looking truck, hopefully you can find a replacement soon.

Running Boards are good based on just a couple of hours. Very steady to stand on and a wide surface. Dual deployment motors activate when you open the door and the they tuck up nicely under the Rocker Panels when you close the door. Each side activates independently. I have a video but not sure how to upload that. Will take pics tomorrow. I'm digging the Putco 60" rear light blade too. Adds a lot of visibility from behind.

 

How much did that cost?

Finally got around to replacing the inserts after my last idea went wrong
Got the tuff skinz and installed today along with their front grill color match emblems. Love the inserts in the console already. The color match grill parts are awesome as well

I wrapped the rear bumper chrome inserts, tailgate handle, door handles, and the bottom of the front bumper that was grey in color matched wrap.

The painted grill/bumper surround and the painted mirror caps was roughly $800.
