Hi - we have a 2018 Tundra and have 5 Bluetooth devices paired, which our manual says is the max. We need to remove several of them since we don’t have the phones any more, and need to set up our new phones. When we try to do this, the “Remove” button is grayed out and does nothing if we press it. I’m attaching a pic of the screen. Any ideas? Thanks. 0C39D5C9-0264-43E1-8C3C-B3E288FA6042.jpg

    Welcome from NY.

I believe you click on one of the ones listed and then REMOVE will be highlighted.

Like Jim posted above, if that doesn work You can try deleting personal data under setup general settings (that worked for me) but you'll loose whatever settings you have (nav, radio stations etc...).

If that doesn't work then you can try initializing I think you have to hold the power/vol button down. But again you'll loose your settings.

We’ll probably never know. Another hit it and quit it.

    Thank you for the replies.

I've got two sick kids, and I'm just coming off a 12 hour shift, so this is the first opportunity I've had to check the board.

Tapping on any of the listed bluetooth devices does not work - it would take me to a screen that showed only the bluetooth ID for that device, with no available options to take any action.

I also tried a few times to turn the truck off, let it sit, and then restart, but still the same display with grayed out buttons.

I went out a little while ago to attempt some of your suggestions, and the "Add" and "Remove" buttons were no longer grayed out. I have no idea what was different, but I was able to delete and add what needed to be done.

Below are the step by step pics for deleting one of the phones - once the buttons were available. I don't know why the buttons were grayed out yesterday and are clickable today, but I'm glad I was able to get it done.

@Klinkmcbear - Some features like adding and removing devices from the bluetooth list is disabled while the vehicle is in motion. It's a Toyota lawyers and safety thing. Doesn't sound like it was the problem you had but FYI.

Echo that, and thanks for coming back and posting the resolution! So many come looking for answers and we never hear the end result.

    Thanks-

@mountainpete - the “can’t do it while you’re moving” thing might have been in play. When I was trying it, I was a passenger, and we were moving. Even after turning the truck off, when we turned it back on, we started moving right away. At a couple of points, the buttons briefly displayed but then quickly grayed out again before we could do anything (we were stumped at that), but thinking back it might have been when we were stopped at a red light! I’ll have to test that theory when I get a chance. The mystery might be solved.

    thanks again

Found thread on a search. Just had same problem last week. Yes - it's definitely a 'moving' issue. So, instead of 10 seconds of distracted highway driving if it had worked - I had 5 minutes of distracted highway driving madly pushing the screen and cycling thru everything i could think of... :frusty:
