You don't have to fight. That's what your insurance is for. You pay them to handle this stuff, so tell them what you'll accept for the car and tell them to figure it out with the other company.

 

I’m anal with hiding wiring so I’ll have to research quite a bit before I pull the trigger on one.

It has always required me to suit up and do battle. I have never had a pleasant experience dealing with an insurance claim.

I follow a local guy on IG that swears by them so thought I’d give them a shot. I’m sure they will work out great initially but will see if the last like other brands. The Bosh winter ones that I put in lasted a good 9 months.

Currently - Allstate. We switched to them in 2017. I carry homeowners, earthquake (required), auto for four people, and an umbrella policy (required for my work vehicle stipend) through them.

But we’ll probably start looking for something else. Between when I hit the deer last year and how this has gone so far, I’m not super pleased with their whole process.

 

I'd suggest looking at Progressive. They've always been super polite and helpful for me, but I've also never had anything near the magnitude of what you are dealing with. They also beat the rate of everyone else I test prices with by a significant margin.

 

I had Allstate until after that accident. Went elsewhere when I learned I was overpaying and had lackluster service throughout that claim.

 

The dongar harness is slick, I used one in our Highlander with a Vantrue camera. Have an integrated Kenwood camera with my Excelon head unit in my Tundra that works great, but it’s all hardwired into the main harness.

 

Just looked them up. They are slick! I need to go look at the mirror in my old girl and see if one of them will work.
