No. He’s not set up for body work, and I wouldn’t ask him to do that. He’s definitely our go to for mechanic stuff though.
This car is cursed anyway.
It’s been hit three times now since we bought it 3 years ago - twice while it was parked.
My daughter wants a truck (not in the cards for her until she’s self sufficient)
My wife wants her to have something that sits a little taller so she can see better (my younger daughter is only 5’ 1”)

 

Yes and no. It isn’t a gas tax directly. It’s a tax on carbon emitting business, so a tax on fuel refining. How much of that tax flows down to the consumer is a big question.

My ISP likes to give us more speed. Gives them an excuse to send me emails saying my equipment is too old and I need to upgrade.

@RainMan_PNW that's a frustrating mess, but it sounds like there's a plan, at least. I hope the insurance doesn't try to low ba you and it can be a little less stressful.

I would recommend conducting as much of this on speaker phone with your kiddo present so she can see how the process works. It's the kind of stuff they don't get taught in school.

If you were closer, I'd ask if you're interested in my car. Now that we're into the new year and my wife's new car is on the way, I have to get it cleaned up and listed for sale.

 

Wouldn't the cross border taxes/duties murder that option, though? I've not really researched into buying across the border, so this is just an assumption on my part.

Not sure your reservations on being litigious in this situation, or if you did any math about the trouble with that versus the fistfight you're going to have with the insurance company; but the guy should make you whole, regardless of whether his insurance company does or not. It's an offset for risk, not an abdication of responsibility. Might at least be worth a phone call.
