Have the dealer send you your permanent VIN. Looks like your temp vin is no longer in the system.

 

I can fully understand why the GM was fuming! 54 cars that sat for a month that I'm guessing are pre-sold would definitely hurt the stores earn. And piss off customers to boot.

We are in a strange time with shipping delays, inventory shortages, markups, you name it. Glad they finally got your vehicle to you. Sounds like LHM took good care of you. Any pics of the car?

Does anyone know if these QC holds really last 56 days? Dealer has no info for me, but I know a nasty snowstorm came through st Paul shortly after it arrived in the rail yard there.

I'm in the same boat and it does suck. I've been through all 103 pages of this thread and have come away with a couple of positive notes to keep in mind during this tough wait.

• Most of the qc holds discussed in this thread didn't last their full length. Some did, but some didn't.
• Some individuals receiving their truck after a qc hold, have good initial reviews upon receiving the truck. If you go through the whole thread as well, you'll see lots of posts containing statements akin to "Totally worth the wait!" I'm trying to be grateful that mine will be getting a closer inspection than most.

To @Bobby Z @bobbilly @wootFKH @cdq85 @mike220022 and many others who have helped track Tundras over the course of this thread, Thank you for helping us stay sane while waiting.

Did I read here that QC holds are updated on Fridays? Has anyone heard anything?

It’s at GST and pretty sure it’s the 12/22/2022 QC Hold.

anyone know what’s common on the 12/22 hold? TRD Pro and 1794 so far on the list. Are all hybrids on hold, etc?

 

Dealer told me my Pro on QC hold was a random check. Based on how many we've seen on hold I'm not sure it's a random. Either way it's better than getting a truck with a known issue.

Could the hold be related to the terrible hail storm they had in texas? Were these vehicles in outside storage and damaged by hail? Are they trying to repair hail damage?

 

I searched for hail in San Antonio and Houston and don’t see any issues in December

 

Look for the storm near alliance texas. The bnsf railyard where many of the vehicles travel thru via rail.
