Whatever this forum told me to do
(I guesstimated the #'s from the graphs) fudge factor waiver.

    my takeaways:
    the Mag spins up FASTER*
the power delta flattens per PSI in the middle.
the better breathing (in and out) lets the power grow past 4500. my stock inlet chokes @ ~5k

    Both have FLAT TQ curves.

    Good stuff.

    upload_2022-12-29_5-51-5.jpg

*assuming that initial Mag TQ bump is not from starting the dyno run.

Under WOT my a/f is 11.6-12.2 on the street. Those numbers are impressive, great job.

Those numbers I would imagine are in the “playing with fire” zone for a stock engine based on everything we have heard. Unless everything we have heard is bologna anyway.

I see a big mix, some people say 600 at the crank is the sweet spot, other tuners say 650 plus with at the crank with a rich a/f is the sweet spot.

Wondering what altitude it was done at. That's pretty much the setup I'm going for, except I won't have headers for quite a while. Will probably be on bone stock exhaust during tuning....maybe a dirtydeeds setup

Solid! I’m surprised by the Boost pressure on what is likely a 2.30 pulley, especially running longtubes which should drop a psi or 2.

Dunno. I've asked Harrop about a spacer, they said there isn't one on the market. Doesn't mean this couldn't work.

Yea this would need some modification for sure I.e. cut that tube add the maf unit but you’re still dealing with a small tube connection as that looks tapered

The MAF tube is what I am using with the Stillen but on the Harrop. Parts I used are a few pages back.

Looking at the magnuson intake lid, the inside diameter as previously mentioned is 3-7/8” or 3.875”. The wall thickness of the tube is a heavy 1/8”. I think it could easily be made an even 4” with a 3” drum sander on a drill and still have at least half of the wall thickness and be plenty strong. Would help eek out a little more volume and reduce that MAF voltage a bit more. I’ll have to think about doing it. Does anyone here have a magnuson with the 2.3 pulley at sea level and max out their MAF voltage on the magnuson box?

You are one cheap bastard, holy shit :D even if you opened it up to a full 4" that's only a 6% increase in airflow, and I suspect you're more likely to lose performance/make no difference to the MAF from hacking up the walls. But let us know how it goes!

 Hey I’m not cheap I’m ingenuitive. And it’s not hacking it’s carefully boring out in a uniform manner to a near perfect 4” diameter. Just like boring out a cylinder.

You could fiberglass the outside also. I made this that I’m contemplating fabricating to the box, if I move the the bigger throttle body~ if I build the motor.A70E975C-A48F-4716-A3FB-3E64FF7041C7.jpg
I used this container that I got that had a bunch of zip ties in it. It’s a little larger than 4” ID

Perfect. 4” diameter 80 grit. Rig that onto a drill and stuff it in the slightly smaller tube and boom it will be a perfectly symmetrical 4” inside diameter in no time.

Even if it is only 6% increase in volume…6% of 5 volts is .3 volts. If you’re hitting 4.97 or whatever at the moment, this could bring you down to 4.67. It can quite literally be the make or break difference.

Hey now who’s the cheap bastard! Lol JK.

I’m not sure if I’m gonna or not, it may not be necessary with my 80mm pulley. But if data logging reveals I’m still exceeding 5v, I certainly would try it. Just doing some math, if I went to a 75mm pulley that’s a 13.7% increase in flow over my 80mm. To think just boring the tube out 1/8” would take care of nearly half of the increase in MAF voltage that would result from switching pulleys. Not much to lose. Worst case I just have to buy a new lid if I F*** it up, but I think that would be hard to do if careful.

    Re:Radium Catch can

I see the connection that needs to get interrupted.

How in the Sam-hell do you reach the side that's on the top of the engine?

I'm considering just disconnecting the connection on the bottom of the blower (Harrop) and jury rigging the connection to that hose.

That’s kind of what I did. It’s a real joy if you want to get to the PCV valve connection.
