That would be cool If you can find a solution to easily remove/ install your RTT. That way, you can still have your truck bed when you’re not camping

Lol nice. Our camping season in SoCal is quite the opposite. We camp in the winter and either put our stuff away during summer or drive farther into the northern mountains.

Here is our combo, similar Aluminum Tent but ours is that last of the Sport which is 8" narrower than the current Bambi but otherwise same layout. We got ours in 2020 as a new 2019 trailer, from an Airstream dealer just as Covid was ramping up so we got a great deal on it because no one predicted the demand for RV's at that time. We have had it for 3 seasons now.

Right on. I like that longer bed. We love ours…now. We originally bought our trailer in April 2021 and for the first year of ownership it was in the shop/back at the factory for over 7 months. Airstream ended up replacing the trailer with a brand new 2022 model year. So far the new one has held up well. What load leveling hitch are you running? I don’t currently have one as there isn’t a whole lot of sag, but I want to get one before we go on another cross country trip.

We are running a WeighSafe WDH (their first model). They have a couple of options now. I like it for ease of use. There is no need to adjust the head angle to get it to work. It has an app to help you set it up as well and a built in scale to weigh the tongue of the trailer. I can usually have it setup and ready for action in a few minutes. It took about 20 minutes to move it from our Ridgeline to the Tundra which speaks to how flexible it is to install.

Why was the 2021 trailer in the shop for over 7 months?

Finally got the TRD out to do truck stuff. Pulling a 5x8 Uhaul trailer full of gear camping. Got 11.9 mpg at 70 mph on a flat road in Florida. Cost you have to pay to be in paradise.

Sweet. I will have to check that on out. Overall, I am extremely impressed how easy the Tundra tows this trailer.

The trailer literally rattled and fell apart on every trip we took. The dinette was the biggest culprit as it had to be repaired/replaced 4-5 times. I also had to have the flooring completely replaced (which was done at the factory), leak under the shower pan, shower door never sealed, galley countertop replaced, microwave rattled out of the cabinet multiple times, stove top fell out several times, an exorbitant number of interior rivets popping out, water heater breaking, furnace not working correctly, A/C went out right before a big cross-country trip. It came to a point where I no longer even wanted to go out on trips because I knew I'd open the door to disaster after short periods on the road. The new one hasn't had any issued and I have pulled it about 2500 miles so far.

Wow, that’s a crazy amount of issues. Could it be that Toyota and Airstream are using the same QC processes? ;)

We are seeing a bit of pulling on one of the plastic connectors on our dinette. So far, we lost 3 interior rivets. There were some other things that I fixed myself like a leaking “Exit” window and little issues. I didn’t bother taking it back to the dealer as that is a full day roundtrip. I put a new table top in the dinette and fixed the shower surround before it started leaking. I have been upgrading it bit by bit over the past few years and it is getting better each time. Last trip was 4 days in Fort Casey, Washington about 4 weeks ago in freezing temps. Completely self sufficient now and ready for off grid camping.

What a view!! My wife and I want to check out more of the PNW.

It was a headache for sure. The closest dealer to us is about 2 hours away so it ends up being a whole day trip each time it needs repairs. While I could have taken care of several of them myself, with the amount and frequency, I wanted the repairs documented. I think that helped with getting a replacement. They were sick of seeing and hearing from me. I think Airstream and Toyota took notes from each other and maybe even have the same QC staff! The dealer I take my truck to has been very helpful though and has taken care of the issues I have brought up. I just wish I didn't have to bring them up on a $65,000 truck.

How lite is that Travel Lite? Anything in the rear suspension helping to keep that rear end up or is that just the TRD suspension (red shocks with black springs)?

Looks like you can go anywhere with that rig!
