I won't be able to install it until warmer weather, but I ordered a protective film for the screen in my RZR from Screen Protech. They've had good reviews for their application in Tundras and Tacomas, and I was getting some for the new Tacoma anyway and decided to give it a shot on the RZR. Come spring time I'll have to follow up and let you all know how it works.

    https://*****************/products/polaris-general-screen-protech-kit?_pos=1&_sid=d8278a941&_ss=r

Edit: For some reason the forum nukes the link. Asking mods to see if they can clarify why that is. I know it happens to others who have done crappy things on the forum, but I'm unaware of anything Screen Protech has done. I'll report back whatever they tell me.

Well, found out that apparently Screen Protech were dumb on TW. They created a bunch of accounts and posed as customers and got banned. Silly of them, as all I read are good things about their products. No need for the boosting, especially when they could have easily became a vendor and had access to a huge community that would buy their protectors. Anyway, you can google them if you want to check out their stuff, or Chloe Kuo has a video on her youtube for them as well. She had some scratches on her instrument cluster and the screen protector filled it in and it looks pristine after install.

Part 2 of the full comms setup. Klim R1 Air helmet. Pre-wired for PCI Elite with mic. Ready for air once I get the pumper. This thing is so comfortable and it even has an internal sun shield that pops down when needed……gunna be look’n Darth Vader :)

Had to make the first fix on the Pioneer - both the shift cable and diff lock cable were out of adjustment. It was being really stubborn engaging and disengaging the diff lock and would have to be slammed up to get park. Assuming the cables stretched a bit in the first year / 600 miles. Adjusting the diff lock was easy but Honda decided bury the adjustment for the shift cable under the battery so you get to disconnect and pull the battery each time you make a small adjustment to find the perfect spot

My daughter helped me get it all straightened out and we are back at it.

Bought this yesterday, I was not going to go with another Can-Am, because I bought a new 450 DPS in 2017 and it had an issue right from the start, I was dead set on getting a Honda this time around. Then I test drove a Rancher with DCT that had 3 miles on it and it was traded in, the dealership claimed that the person decided they wanted a dirt bike instead. THANKFULLY I insisted on test riding it before signing anything and low and behold it def had some sort of transmission/shifting issue going on, I have had ranchers with DCT previously and never had one act like this one. The sales guy claimed it just needed a break in period, I was like no way, there is something wrong with this machine, hence the person probably brought it back with 3 miles on it to get their money back... I did some research and it turns out for the last few years at least, apparently 2022 included the Honda DCT ATVs have been having shifting transmission issues, some of them requiring a rebuild because so much damage was done. Honda's answer to this was some sort of software update for the 2020 and 2021 years, but many of the people reported that it fixed it for the short time, and then the ATV started acting up again. Soooo, long story long, I decided Can Am would be the safer bet, and I test drove this one before signing anything! I bought the 2023 570 XT Outlander, instead of the 450, as I am hoping to eventually put a plow on it! It rides like a dream compared to the 450 I had! Happy riding everyone!

Back from King of the Hammers and the ham was a champ! Nearing 6000 miles total, and did about 300 last week alone. Did a bunch of prerunning and enjoyed some fat whoops, also did some rock trails which it ate up. After a week of abuse I had my first real failure ever and had a roller for the secondary clutch explode, which is just a cheap plastic part and pretty common issue I guess. It still drove back to camp though, and was the day before I left so not a big deal. Time to go over everything and get the shocks rebuilt.

136A86FF-CD13-4DC5-9415-A56CA617B3FF.jpg Just got back from an incredible Glamis trip. F-ing love the dunes!!!! I noticed this fluid leak after pulling the Can Am off the trailer. It feels like oil and has a golden color. If you zoom in you can see it better on the skid plate. I just can’t tell where it is coming from. Any ideas?

Is it coming from the rear? The transmission sits about a 1/4" above the skid plate so if you bottom the rear out the case can crack.

I can’t really tell. I’ll try and feel around a bit. Maybe get some better lighting to see more. I honestly don’t remember hitting anything hard enough to bottom it out.

From your picture it looks like it's in the front and no obvious oil path towards the rear. I'm not sure what would be leaking from around the engine, assuming the oil filter cap and dipsticks didn't come off.

I would clean the skid so you can hone in where the drip is better. You may have to remove the skid, which is a bit of a bitch and I would get an aftermarket skid if you do. There is no way to access from the bottom, so if it's not obvious from the sides where the leak is you'll have to drill out all the rivets to pull the skid and see up from the bottom.

Or just drop it at a dealership.

Well, as much fun as the RZR is, my buddy and I are probably moving to two wheels for our fun rigs. The Trail RZR is great for less challenging terrain and easy rides, but that's also about all it can do. It just doesn't have the suspension travel to avoid getting hung up with it's wheelbase. The bigger/wider SxS machines are a blast because they are virtually unstoppable (like the RS1 I had), but I didn't really need that ability. If I'm just going to stick to forest roads and such then I may as well scratch that itch for a motorcycle again. I've missed it, but want to ease into it at my old age.

I've found the bike and the trade on the SxS would be favorable. It'd wipe out what I owe, get me the motorcycle, and probably a few hundred bucks in the pocket as well. I could try selling, but with a balance still owed on the RZR I'm not sure it'd be worth the hassle and dealing with the tire kickers.

I really should be less unwise with my toys.
