Last year or the year before, not that I needed it, but ran a heater in the pond. Supposedly colder water temps make them more likely to pick up and not be able to fight off parasites. Supposedly your supposed to do a good cleaning before winter and that helps with any parasites. There is also a chemical you can use but it works better in warmer water.

 

Whoops! I didn't know that. This spring they surprised us with babies. They must have had sex to survive the cold. I've got like 14 fish in this pond now.

I must have a dude pond, I’ve had them almost 4 or 5 years now and no babies, I wouldn’t say I’m the best aquarists, but I try to take care of them, I also don’t stress out over them, they are just fish. I feel like some people read fish psychology books and shit when they think their fish are acting weird

I think double cabs likely have more room
There than access/reg cabs due to the body height being overall higher

 

Those lake fish are able to live off the oxygen off-gassed from underwater aquatic plants.

Its loosest in the center. Probably be easy breezy to fit brackets behind the windshield sprayers.


Pretty big step from hinge bolt height. Prolly best to tweak the hood corners up a c hair.

@FrenchToasty if i removed the grille bar under the headlights and used a torch and a bender, draining the system if necessary. Can the A/C ?dryer? Be flipped, turned upside down? And i'd like to take a minute, just sit right there. I'll tell you how i became the prince of a town called bel air.

They are Goldfish but I'm not sure what kind. The biggest ones are maybe 4" long. Some are orange, others are spotted and a few are solid black.

I guess mine are freaks that can survive despite no plants. Maybe oxygen is getting in somewhere to keep them alive. The previous owners of the house told me not to worry if it froze over in the winter and so far they have made it.

 

Is that a dryer? Arent you the hvac guru?

 

It is a filter dryer, but unless you can weld aluminum I would try to flip it upside down.

 

i want a 3 ton 20" cast iron behemoth. Preferrably one thats swoopy and aesthetic,
but i'd settle for a set of files if the metal 3d printing gets silly cheap.

 

You’re going to have to wait on a business liquidation sale to get one of the industrial mill behemoths plus the maintenance costs aren’t cheap. I’d love to have a water jet cutting miller but I know that’ll never happen.

 

My buddy has a hell of a time getting service on one if his biggest money making cnc machines. He ended up selling it because of it. Very proprietary type shit

That was the thing, it was all software and programming type shit. So he was kinda SOL

 

I'm friends with an asian that works in CNC. I bet he g-codes in his sleep. TI & MG 3d printing would be supertitties.

 

Glad to see I'm not the only one that had rusty cowl bolts. I proactively replaced all mine recently. Not sure why they rust so bad.

 

That’s what software engineers call job security. Even the people who use it daily learn the software nuisances they have to work around. One of the reasons my work still uses a 40 yr old 2 layer printed circuit board maker in one of the labs.

 

I guess not. With enough bending i might be able to move it up far enough.

I used brackets for a Tacoma, no trimming needed on the cowl. I did have to make the holes on the bracket a little bigger

 

Ordered a RTMR and a lot of pins/seals to get a new relay box built. Move headlights and horns to the rtmr, add my circuits for the future lights..

 

Light project pushed off a week or 2 before ordering the rest of the shit. Holy fuck wire has gotten expensive

 

For shits n giggles, I went ahead and picked this up, price was right. It's Homelink v5, Li-ion battery-operated (i.e. non-wired), non-auto-dimming, frameless Gentex mirror. I'm tired of not having Homelink in the truck, and I haven't found an OEM-like, non-add-a-circuit way to wire up the nicer compass-and-auto-dim frameless Gentex I have on-hand. I'm thinking this will probably be Toyota p/n PT374-00210, I'm hoping it has some docs in the box. Edit: Part number was correct, no docs came in the box, but install took 2 minutes and I have Homelink functionality again, so I cannot complain. I would recommend this upgrade to anyone who doesn't want to waste time running wires but really does need Homelink, and don't really care whether or not you have autodim, compass, or temperature. After almost a year of use, I can say: It's a solid product, great upgrade, and I'm buying one for my parents' new Corolla, I know they'll enjoy it.
