How do you protect your Tundra's Catalytic Convertor?

A local cop at the bbq joint saw my tundra and started Bullshitting with me telling me how nice he thinks they are and he’s planning on getting rid of a dodge for one (2.5 Gen). He then asked about cats on mine. Told him I got the guards. He said good cause it’s bad. Said as most of you know that The thieves target restaurants, hotels, etc anywhere close to the highway with on/off access. What I didn’t know is a lot of cities past laws that won’t allow them to chase them. Since it’s a non violent crime. Said the thieves know and flip em off. And he can’t do shit. Which is crazy

 

I had to travel to San Antonio and Houston for work, neither are "near" to me. It's a sense of relief having the catalytic converters to at least deter the quick pop thief. They got my Gen 1 in a parking lot after 16 years of ownership, lol. So, I knew the first thing I was going to do was put cat shields on. In all seriousness, i''d rather spend $350 and not have to deal with all the other issues involved around theft of cats.

 

GetCatSecurity.com, looked them up only looks like the go to 21 on the Tundra.

RCI makes some nice stuff and they have it in steel or alum for the 22-23. Not cheap stuff but good quality.
