Truck is new to me, and it has 151,000 miles, did the following the past couple of days:

spark plugs (Denso SK20HR11) torque to 15 ft/lbs
    new air and cabin filters
    changed differential fluid
    new wiper blades
center carrier bearing had a torn rubber support, so new carrier bearing and replaced all 3 U joints, replaced the transmission output seal while drive shaft was removed.
brake fluid swap and bleed brakes
    inspected brake pads
engine would produce a high idle and quite a bit of steam type exhaust on cold startup, replaced PCV valve and hose, old valve was overdue and was sticky when shaken. When replacing PCV valve plan on using a new PCV hose as these hoses get so stiff. 22mm deep set socket is needed to access the valve on the front of the intake.
both headlamps were fogged, could not polish out so new fog and headlamps installed with diode dynamics bulbs in the headlamps.
replaced both battery terminals with OEM Toyota terminals
coolant and engine oil recently changed so just inspected.
dropped transmission pan and put new trans filter in and did a pan only transmission fluid change (Toyota WS), followed the directions in this video and was able to successfully use the dash light to check and adjust the transmissionfluid level at the proper temperature:

    https://youtu.be/fLVZSoKbyZ0

test drove and it drives very nicely.

He just dropped the trans pan for a quick service... Without shearing several thru-bolts.

Did you even need to ask from what part of the country he hails?? ;):D

Last week did a paracord wrap to all FOUR, front and rear grab handles. Completely neglected to notice the remaining single above the passenger door. My wife was quick to point out her preferred "oh shit handle". But the rest look great, feel great, and provide a total of 50ft of 'quick release' cord if needed.

    Shouldn't have waited so long

    20221212_114634.jpg

Yesterday I got to fix my blinkers.. for the second time. Damn Morimotos. If they didn't look and perform so awesome...

Couple months back I had the passenger, sequential blinker dissappear. Turned out to be a resistor which had disconnected itself under the wrapping of one harness. Fixed it.

Then last week I lost ALL of the vehicles blinkers. Figured it had to be my handy work, so I removed the passenger Morimoto (breaking a tab for the second time) only to still blow fuses. Moving on to the driver side Morimoto, I found a small, intermediate harness which looked a bit melty. The harness had cut thru the insulation for a couple wires.

Luck would have it that I had an appropriate 18ga, waterproof harness to replace the nasty (tho I could have just soldered the leads together and done away with the harness).

I lost most of my 3 hour window fixing electrics and broken headlight tabs, but maybe there will be time for oil and tire rotation today. Still have to try out my new lifting bar (just wouldn't pick the rear tire anymore with the 2x6 chunk)

Got some rims off Facebook and some snow tires, the stock tires on my TRD rims were junk in the snow this year, too many miles. Still got tread on them for a summer or two.

Bought a Powerstop OE spec brake pad and rotor kit from Rockauto this week. Why, oh why did I not check the contents when it landed on my doorstep on Thursday?
Ergo, today I replaced the front rotors and pads, hopefully they'll sort out the missing hardware for the rear pads and I can do those next week.

Pretty quick to wrap. Really quick to unwrap.

I got between 13 and 14 feet on each grab handle. I removed the handles to ease the process of wrapping them.

Gave the truck the morimoto face lift. Got the headlights for $765 shipped and the fogs for $180 shipped. Now let’s see how long they last. Love how it refreshed the look.

Each day I make a bit more progress on front.
So far I’ve replace bumper, installed, wired, and semi-tested the winch (main priority)

Just finished grill, next are the other trim pieces and then I gotta cut the skid plate again. Oh, I still gotta wire all the lights in but I plan to add more so I’ll save it for later, plus it’s lower priority at the moment.

    Where I’m at today…

Got some new shoes for the old truck. Cooper Discoverer Rugged Treks. I only have about six miles on them but they are already a vast improvement over the nearly bald Kuhmos that were on there.

Edit- Now have a couple hundred miles on them. Really like these a lot. I've had BFG's on a Tacoma and Landcruiser and these feel much better than those.

Replaced the EBC slotted rotors I just put on with stock OEM. Not sure if anyone else read my brake thread, but started to get some serious vibration pretty quickly, and I couldn't tell any issues as I would expect - bedded in properly, I'm old enough to drive like...well...and old person, etc. They tested the run-out and all came back at .006" or more. They were concerned with machining them (truth be told, they said they won't do slotted to begin with), but the thickness was already questionable and they've had a lot of slotted rotors with issues.

$660 later I've got new OEM rotors all the way around and the shudder is gone...hopefully for good.

Originally a dorman 2 ish years ago, that one basically disintegrated, we couldn't get any Moog ones at my shop so I just went with Napa brand instead, my boss said its way better
