What have you done to your 1st gen Tundra today?

I probably should proactively do mine. Has anyone used heat shrink tubing to repair a split vacuum line?

 

3-4 months without the tundra. Ugh. Both body shops are slammed with work and people not wanting jobs.

 

Northern Tool for the win. Found one on sale for $67. I may live after all. Assuming carbon monoxide doesn't get me. I've heard these things are "somewhat" safe.

 

Everythings batteries have been exercised. Gonna put the bike back on the tender anyway.

Crawled under the truck a few minutes ago. Looks like that new OEM fuel line doesn’t follow the original bends exactly. Is that typical for replacement line?

Now I wonder if I were to order a brake line if that would be the case as well. You’d think the bends would be exact. I pray I don’t have to replace one any time soon.

 

It will *but* a pre bent line can be a huge pain in the ass to install. Did that once on a Jeep and would've been much easier to use some nickel/copper line and flare new ends.

 

everything is under cover. If i get a hail alert i can spread 4 blankets/min.

 

Only 4? My one-armed cousin can do 6.
Maybe cause he uses the accordion fold? Pays out real well

So it’s typical to be a little off in the bends or should it have been exactly the same? Mine was definitely off.

@jpink got me this gift for Christmas. I've been coloring when work gets slow.

I put one of the fridge for my wife. She wasn't impressed.

 

Should be close but trying to get a whole line in is difficult so they can end up a little wonky.

 

Nice, i was thinking about heading out to Anza Borrego this weekend before i get some surgery done on my wrist from a skateboarding injury from years ago. But looks like I wont have time to make it out there. So I guess ill have to wait to go camping for a few months probably.

Also, any suggestions on what to do when leaving my truck un driven for several weeks to maybe a month or two? Should I just start it up once a week and let it idle for the battery and maybe to keep oil moving around? Since my truck is stick shift and my wrist is getting surgery I wont be able to drive it for a bit. Just wanted any advice on letting my truck sit for a bit. Thanks!

OK, I got my door fixed so my temps are coming up.

 

My Tundra came with them. Loved them enough i bought a set for the Taco.
Look aggressive enough is subjective. I didn't think so, but I've gotten a lot of compliments on & they're the only tires people have given me compliments on.
Actual aggressiveness - I've had to drive on the lawn a couple of time & they always shred up the lawn. Make a real mess of it.
I've done one easy trail in them & no problems with dirt, with rocks.

 

DUDE! Hang a quilt or winter curtains or something over that door.
Hell, you probably have scorpions & tarantula walking through that hole under the door.
fill some socks with sand & lay them across the bottom of the door.

 

Wait until everyone starts wrecking with this storm!

Our RAV4 is in the body shop from my wife's fender bender. They wouldn't even give us an estimate so I'm assuming it might be there a month.

 

I don't think so. If anything, it heats up faster.

 

Yeah I’d assume the more modern dewhickies help heat things up quicker

 

The heated steering wheel and seats are super nice in this weather.

 

I finally succumbed to need to turn on my heater last Monday when it rained and kinda froze overnight. I tried to drive with my head out the window for a few blocks but finally pulled over and switched it to defrost; it needed some back and forth persuasion.

 

The subaru has ass heaters in it. Can't wait to rip up and down the road in it with toasty buns.
