If it has been months like you said I would be on the phone with the person that sold it to me.

I know I got my initial purchase paperwork in the mail within a week. Then I got my packet from Toyota about two weeks after that.

I would like to thank TBS for the contact information. I plan to purchase an extended warranty in the future, but I was also wondering if anyone has ever had to use a Toyota extended warranty? Please share your thoughts on your experience with this warranty.

Just purchased a 7 year/125K Platinum zero deductible for $1375. I live in southern Maryland, we put lots of miles on our vehicle, so this was the best bang for the buck. Thanks for sharing the info!

dealer wanted $3350 for this plan. I asked them to match, best they could do was 5 years/100K for $1600.

 

How do I get that warranty? Is it still available? zero deduct?

It’s amazing the difference in pricing of extended warranties on new Toyota trucks between dealers, that is fact and putting it nicely.

I did give me local dealer a chance to match but they couldn’t go below $2,000.00

I went elsewhere and Jerry definitely earned my business!!

I closed on my 2023 Platinum today. I tried to get a price for warranty from the finance manager and he would only quote monthly rates. What a joke. When I said I was going to wait and purchase later he was adamant that you could not purchase an extended warranty outside of initial purchase. Not sure if this is an SET thing but I will certainly get one from this thread.

 

He is lying to you. Run away from that guy.

 

Thanks @TBS. I went with Jerry, and he was great. Ended up getting extended warranties for both my Toyotas. I was able to get both for the same price my local dealer quoted for one vehicle. Thanks again!!

 

Not true. I work in the service department for Lexus. We use the same Platinum plans as Toyota dealers. I always tell my guests to wait till the base warranty is about a month away from ending before purchasing an extended warranty. As long as the base warranty doesn’t expire the price won’t increase really. But after it does go up a lot. The salesman in most dealers make more for selling the warranties than they do on actual vehicle in most cases. That’s how it is at our dealership. If there not selling: Extended warranty, road hazard, GAP or a maintenance plan on top of new vehicle sale there only making a couple hundred bucks.

 

anyone able to get ahold of jen? trying to canx my previous ext warranty plan but cant get any replies via email. looking thru the booklet about canx the plan and it says go thru the dealer that you bought it from.

Did anyone get Tire and Wheel? I might've overpaid I'm not too convinced if it's worth it or not. I cancelled my extended warranty from the dealership. I'm on the fence about cancelling my wheel and tire and my extended service and looking somewhere else. All the plans I got were from a 3rd party and I'd like to stick to Toyota as much as possible, however I'm open to CNA since I've heard decent things about them.

 

Thanks to this thread I now found out I was given a pretty bad price at finance time when we bought our 2023 Tundra a couple of days ago. I am going to call my dealer tomorrow and have them cancel.

 

It is the holiday season and people might be taking some time off. Besides I canx'd my 2017 plan directly with Toyota. Just call the CS number in the warranty package you got from Toyota. It is right on the card. They mailed me a check for what was left. I then used the money against the CC bill for my new truck's plan.
