It hasn’t snowed in a few days and was around 22* so hella icy. But still fun just a little sketchy haha.

Drubru is awesome. Great beer and food truck is on point. We always stop if we drive that way. Going to Kennewick for New Years and definitely stopping by again

Anyone have some stock rear bump stops they got laying around and wouldn’t mind getting rid of? These sumosprings are rough during bumps.

So…I’m confused (what’s new). You just posted about this in your camping thread. I’ll admit not knowing much about GFC’s, but are they not universal?

They are not universal. Sized to the truck just like a camper shell. Can't take one off Tundra and put it on anything else.

Whoops, my bad. I thought it was just the folding tent. Didn’t remember it was the canopy portion as well. Never mind; nothing to see here!

Well folks, I don’t know how many of you are expecting trouble from the storm coming in, but here in the upper western corner of Oregon the forcast is for an ice storm with upwards of 3/4” of ice. Our power cooperative has frequent outages during storms, so I’m expecting it. The good thing is we have a 10kw backup generator and lots of stuff stockpiled.
Do any of y’all expect difficulties?

I expect the line at the liquor store to be off the hook tomorrow afternoon. Other than that, I suspect we will be ok. I am off work until the 3rd and my wife will work from home on Thursday.

    Stay safe everyone.

There’s like a 24hr period it could happen in western Washington, but then warm up immediately after. Could get exciting real quick. Today anyone commuting had a good time.

No ice storm predicted here, but the area got some snow today so should be an ice rink tomorrow. Dunno if I’m going into work or staying remote yet

Haven’t been following too close. Biggest thing we’re worried about is getting to the airport to pick up our daughter on Thursday when she flies home from Netherlands.

I think we're going to have a couple of days of mid/low 30s again, but that's about the extent of it; ice in the early morning, but nothing to really cause a major freezing, power issues, etc... just gotta watch for knuckleheads on the roads!!!

I hope your issues aren't too bad!!!

Be safe everyone. Ice sucks when everyone around you is in 2nd with bald tires.

Well that’ll make our trip interesting, we’re headed over to coast tomorrow for the holidays. Hopefully 26 isn’t a skating rink.

You’re familiar with the Oregon tire chain law, right?

Actually, no, I am not. Not a flip response, but that is why I appreciate the forum because it is a great source of valuable information.

Recently changed. You can Google the details. If my memory is correct, the basic stuff is unchanged, you can be required to have snow tires, studs or 4x4.
What’s new is that you are required to have chains ‘in your vehicle’ or be subject to fine around $900.

Yessir I am  one of the things Oregon is relatively good at is the incessant amount of “chain up signs or else” along the roads haha

Most signs are still stating “carry chains or traction tires” but I need to research it myself to confirm the details. And rifle through the garage to find my chains.

Forward looking camera, Stub Antenna, 3M clearshield. A few other non lifted items.
We had 5-7 inches of heavy snow that I removed from the driveway and front walk. I used my ATV with front loader to move the snow, it worked great. I also cleared part of the culdesac street. My neighbor came out with his John deer small tractor with front loader and finished the culdesac. It’s in the 20s now, so it’s all frozen over. A couple days of low temps then rain moves in and snow level is at 6000 ft. We could get some flooding and avalanches due to melt then.
In the past if it really gets bad in WA, they can require chains on 4x4s. That has not happened in years, but I do remember it. And that was for local roads, not just the passes. A rare occurrence.
