Not sure what type of feedback you are trying to correct, but on road I've noticed more of a difference from tire pressure adjustments with load range E tires than making small compression adjustments on my shocks. May want to check and adjust pressures for that sweet spot on road then tweak compression settings after. Just a thought. Sick looking setup BTW.

Anyone else with icon coil overs and uppers getting wheel rub on the driver side with 35's? I am getting it slightly now only on one side right where that bracket hangs off the frame. I have my fender liner pinned back already but it rubs there on full lock as well. I feel like I'm going crazy but it feels like i can turn more now and it makes no sense.

I did increase the coil overs by a few turns to level it out side to side and increase the ride height a bit since it was sitting pretty low with the factory icon setup to try and help the rubbing but its still there very slightly.

How much lift do you have over stock? what offset wheels are you running? did you remove the brace thing behind the fender liner?

I'm guessing 2.5 inches over stock. 18x9 +18 offset. Nope, is that the brace that sticks out 3 or 4 inches on the lower inside corner of the fender liner?

I had a spacer lift on prior to the icon stuff with no rubbing at all.

if i had to guess, the ICON UCA has extra caster built into it, thus not needing to max out the caster in the lower control arm. when you max out the lower control arm it pushes the tires forward giving you a little extra room. if you remove that brace it gives you a lot more space but if you are rubbing the crash stop then you may need to trim. do you know what the caster is set at currently?

Negative but i do need to take it back in for an alignment since ride height has been adjusted. Ill have them take a look at it but i was under the impression caster was not adjustable.

Looking for some thoughts… I installed an Icon Stage 5 kit on my Tundra a couple of weeks ago. I got it aligned this week and everything is driving great. However there is a lot of noise coming from the front suspension. I sounds like a lot of creaking when going over bumps or just moving slower in general. I can’t hear anything when traveling at normal road speeds though. Any thoughts on where to start tracking it down?

@tyman77 Did it sound like the creaking in this vid? I was slow rolling my new Icon stage 9 setup this weekend. My old 4Runner would sound the same from time to time with its Icon setup, but it was only during low speed stuff that I heard it. I'll ask the shop about it when I go in for my re-torque, but I'm not stressing about it if it's only when off road.

My Icon setup does the same. I had my shop re-grease all of the joints via the zerk fittings when I went in for my 500 mile torque check. I also squirted a little silicone lube at the sway bar bushings (thinking maybe the drop bracket changed the angle enough & caused it tighten up its grip on the bar).

It's gotten noticeably better post re-grease, but I can still hear it at low speeds with the windows down. I don't hear it at all with the windows up. I'm 90% positive it's the UCA bushings. I also think the cold has something to do with it since I noticed more once it turned really cold here in Nevada. Prior to that, I never really noticed the noise.

As @Ullose272 mentioned, it's likely fixed with a bit of caster adjustment. Just mention it to your shop when you go back and see if they can knock it out via some adjustments.

For what it's worth, here's my quick story: Before my Icon setup & my full bumper, I had zero rubbing with my 34.5" tires on +18mm offset wheels. I had removed my mud flaps and front wheel well liners pinned back. AFTER my bumper install (but BEFORE my Icon install), with all that weight on the front, I noticed I began to have some rubbing at full lock. After I installed the Icon setup a couple weeks later, I noticed the rubbing got a little worse. So I removed the small crash bracket from the wheel. To be clear, I'm not talking about the one that's welded on, but the small box bracket that is held by 2 bolts. I was able to pin the liner back even more with that removed and now I have no rubbing again at full lock.

Mine sounds a bit different. It is a lower-pitch sound. I will try greasing the delta joints and see if that helps.

I would recommend it, regardless of the brand. The bottom shock mount is tall and it's possible to damage the front shocks if you don't. King doesn't call it out, but you can see from their own install instructions how close it comes even with their tapered lower shaft design.

It’s easy enough to do with a dremel if you’re not in a huge rush.

Went into 4WP (4wheel Parts) today to get a quote on an Icon stage 5 lift, Method 305 rims, and BF Goodrich All Terrain tires. They said I would also need the front cv axels from a TRD pro. All parts installed out the door would be $9,519.90. Does sound about right? I've never done this to a truck before.

They didn't really say other than they did one recently that they needed the TRD Pro cv axels. From all I've read no one has ever stated the TRD Pro axels were needed. They're like $300 a piece.

Pretty sure the pro/off-road axles are the same. I wonder if they meant the Trd lift kit cv axles that are longer but if you need those you’ll need a bunch of other things.

also if I were you, jump online and price out everything on your own. Between the 10-20 percent off method codes usually available and the 15 percent off icon stuff, you can definitely get it all cheaper yourself. Get them to give you a firm number on what’s parts, tire install, lift install

Indeed. It appears the PRO, OR & TRD lift axles are all the same as well. If you dig a few pages back, you'll see how they all cross reference back to the same dimensions and share the same PN IIRC.

I dont think Toyota puts them on the OR and PRO packages, or includes them with their 3" factory lift kit for no good reason. It would nice to know exactly what provoked them to do so, but one could only assume that their ability to withstand the higher CV angles that come with added lift was the deciding factor.

What I am curious to know is how long the standard black CV axle (non-OR / PRO / TRD lift kit CVs) last with a truck that is lifted 2-3 inches over the factory TRD OR ride height. Time will tell if nothing else.

This is exactly the point behind my question. I understand what comes with the OR or Pro are better, but will the standard black’s last a year or 10 years? To be clear I do not expect anyone to have that answer simply because this platform is so new.

Hey, just wanted to follow up on this. After talking to a technician at king and doing some adjusting I have come up with 15/20 up front and 10/20 in back. I know this is quite a bit firmer than some might like but it’s optimal for me and I have an otherwise stock truck. The tech really said the compression damping is all a personal preference and it really doesn’t matter as long as a left/right compression dampings are the same.

Air lift load lifter 5000 bags. Wireless one compressor. DRL’s and sequential front blinkers. TRD grill. 35” tires. 17” Method wheels. Leveling kit. Soon to be Icon suspension.
Wondering if anyone in here has preloaded their icon coil overs to get the full 3.5” of lift? I currently have a spacer on my truck but want it a little taller.
